Default AMD’s Bulldozer Performance Exposed, Beats i7 2600K in CineBenc

A recent post from a Chinese Blog site has exposed the performance of AMD’s Upcoming Bulldozer Based Zambezi-FX Processors. Although the Blog has been deleted but Zol.com.cn which is another Chinese Forum managed to get the screenshots from the blog post.
The AMD Processors being used is hidden but its confirmed by users that it was a 6/8 Core Zambezi-FX Processor and the benchmarks used for testing included CineBench R11.5 (x64) and R17 (x64). Both benchmarks evaluate the CPU performance capabilities. The AMD CPU scored 7.37 in Multi-Core rendering (CineBench R11.5) against the Intel i7 2600K’s 6.23 and i7 990x’s 8.42. A single digit score improvement in this benchmark means that Intel’s top line Sandy bridge will finally get some tough competition from the Zambezi-FX CPU’s.
CinBench R10 reports a score of 28,074 however no CPU comparisons was mentioned but i can tell you this much that my i7 920 score a max of 19,500 score on stock clocks, Considering this, The bulldozer CPU’s hold quite some punch. We also reported some benchmarks of an Engineering Sample of AMD bulldozer CPU but the results were not as satisfying at these, You can check them out here.
A recent pricing chart which got leaked here also shows that Bulldozer’s top of the line Zambezi-FX cost around 240-320$ for 6/8 Core models, The price ain’t bad at all for the CPU’s considering the performance increase they offer.

Stock at 3.4GHz, but don't forget every systems configuration is different, so that could make up for the difference in scores.

Now that we are finally seeing some numbers this is looking promising.

Once I get to see the full comparison vs. a 2600K @ 4.8 - 5.0 GHz then I'll make my decision on what to upgrade to. After this next upgrade, I'm going to chill out on buying parts for the next 3-4 years.

Now if only I could find a decent looking case for under $700. Everything out now looks like an ammo crate, and is not my style. If NZXT would release a Panzerbox II, without the side mounted PSU, I'd be all over it....

Asus Leaked AMD Bulldozer (Zambezi-FX) Specifications

Only a month left in the launch of AMD’s Bulldozer based Zambezi-FX CPU’s and we are already receiving tons of new details and leaks on the AM3+ based platform. Well, Today we’ve got another leak by the top motherboard manufacturer ”Asus” which has detailed the specifications of upcoming FX series processors through its “AM3+ Motherboards BIOS Evaluation” Chart. Asus’s upcoming 990FX based sabertooth motherboard was also pictured a while ago which you can see here.

The chart details 4 upcoming Zambezi-FX series processors which were already reported in the leaked pricing chart here. The chart details Core Clock, Core Count, Max TDP and Turbo Core boost frequency. The clock frequencies were erased. Fortunately, The source reports that it still managed to get the frequencies details on two FX-based CPU’s which include FX-8130P and FX 8110.

We already reported performance details of AMD FX-8110 here and FX-4110 here. From the looks of it, The FX-8130P will be the FX-series top offering featuring a core clock of 3.8Ghz and a Turbo Core speed of 4.2Ghz, Keep in mind that this is a 8-Core CPU and will be priced for 320$ against the FX 8110′s 290$ price which is also a 8 Core variant but features lesser core frequency of 3.6Ghz and 4.0Ghz (Turbo Core). A Turbo Core speed of 4.0Ghz + is quite amazing considering the Intel’s 310$ (i7 2600K) which comes with a core clock of 3.4Ghz with turbo boost of 3.8Ghz.

The FX-8130P has a max TDP of 125W and FX-8110 has 95W max TDP. Detailed info from the chart below:

    AMD FX-8130P – 8 Core, 3.8Ghz, Max T.C 4.2Ghz, 125W (320$)
    AMD FX-8110 – 8 Core, 3.6Ghz, Max T.C 4.0Ghz, 95W (290$)
    AMD FX-6110 – 6 Core, Unknown, Max T.C Unknown, 95W (240$)
    AMD FX-4110 – 4 Core, Unknown, Max T.C Unknown, 95W (190$)
