    Default Gigabyte 990FXA-UD5 SLi capabilities?

    Hey guys,

I recently got my new rig together with a new and nice 990FXA board, the Gigabyte 990FXA-UD5.
Now, I know these boards finally have SLi compatibility, but I was wondering if it was possible to mount two triple slot videocards onto the board? Seeing as I have no knowledge of whether this is possible or not.

The reason I'm asking, is because I will be upgrading to 2xGTX580 Direct CUII, of which the first one will probably be bought around my B-day (End of August) and I was wondering if they are SLi Capable on my board. These are triple slow videocards, but extremely quiet and powerful(and also the cheaper one vs the lightning, hehe).

My case is the In-Win Dragon rider with 7 expansion slots I believe. Just incase that matters.

    Regards,
    Vex

Sweet, I read some stuff about 16x/8x/4x slots, and was afraid if I was going to use 2 triple slot cards that they would need me to use a lower PCI-E slot..

The 990FXA-UD5 has more room then the 890FXA-UD5 casuse they eliminated 1 slot. Should work...... Not 100% sure.. If not last slot would work but it will cover the USB headers....
