Default AsRock Announces 990FX Fatal1ty Motherboard

Johnathan “Fatal1ty” Wendel knows that gamers have different CPU preferences, so he worked with ASRock engineers to develop a full featured motherboard for the new AMD 990FX chipset, supporting the AM3+ Socket and 8-Core CPUs. AMD is known for cost effective processing and superb over-clocking features, making it a favorite among gamers.

I have to say the ASrock 890FXA-Extreme 5 was my favorite motherboard of the 890 chipset boards. This Fatality looks kick ass and I would place money, it will be my fav 990 board but they already messed up on one thing. My picture should be on the background......

Good find Kev. I bet your mouth is watering over this one too!

Tell ASRock I will make it my main test bench board. I am in love again! I figured out what I did with the extreme 5. I set it up for dice with the wrong chip. I warmed it up when the dice settled, pulled the pot and put the phenom 980 in. When I fired it up, there was condensation in the socket. I now let all my boards sit at least 1 day after running a dry ice run and had no problems. I was so mad cause the board and UEFI bios along with Turbo was awesome.

Nice...!!! I was considering the Asus 990FX-ROG board. What are your thought comparing this board to the one I listed.

I plan on doing a Tri SLI or 2 way Crossfire...

Solar, the Asus Sabertooth is a phenomenal board if you read our review in the review part of our forum but this board...... looks as good. ASRock is owned by Asus and I will say. The boards we have previously reviewed by ASRock are kick ass and as good as any other motherboards. Hopefully Stan will get it for me to test and review soon but I already know this board will be the one I use for Bulldozer.
