    Default Possibly legit Bulldozer benchmarks?

    http://www.cpubenchmark.net/high_end_cpus.html

The FX-8150 is on that chart, but it seems odd that there's no clock speed listed.

However, if this turns out to be true, Bulldozer (or at least the 8150) seems to be beating out Nehalem Quads for the most part, however, it simply can't keep up with the higher-end Sandy Bridge offerings. While it's definitely improvement over Phenom II chips, I don't know if I'd choose this over a 2600K.

There's also a listing for an "AMD Six-Core", mostly likely a BD chip, but it's hard to tell considering the lack of model information and clock speed.

Like I said, it's very hard to tell if any of this is true, but the numbers are in line with what I was expecting.

    ...yes, I know.

I'm saying that this site PassMark doesn't seem to post the stock clock of some of the CPUs on that chart, and the FX-8150 seems to be one of them.

I believe the fx8150 has a faster stock clock speed than a 2600k by 100mhz. TWICE the number of physical cores and a faster clock speed and its not even close to a 2600k. Its looking like the wait for bulldozer is no different than the wait for the phenom its not worth it.

    Looks like it.
I think I'll be going with Intel for my next build. I regretted going Phenom II instead of Nehalem, and I don't want a repeat of that.
Unless AMD can pull a rabbit out of their hat, that is. However, considering how close we are to release, I doubt that'll happen.

I know I'm an Intel fanboy, but I have to state anyway: Wait for official, verifiable results. Don't write-off the horse before its in the stable.

Even if the Intel horse arrived three hours ago.

I think the fact that nothing has leaked showing the wheelbarrow being faster than a 2600k kind of tells us all we need to know. I could be wrong but I highly doubt it as it would be the first time that ever happened. LOL

First, we have no clue if rese benchmarks are true. If your going to make a judgement off one benchmark, then your not being realistic. The embrgo lifts OCT.12th. Stay tuned to Pure Overclock for the full benchmark suite.

It's hardly one benchmark; nearly all of the unofficial benchmarks that I've seen are showing very similar performance.

    Also...
