Based on shear performance, or a price vs. performance comparison? If it's the former, I'll begrudgingly vote Intel, but if it's the later I vote AMD all the way. I've always believed you get way more bang for your buck with AMD. Hopefully, I'm wrong all the way around, and the new FX chip blows the 2600K out of the water and is cheaper.

If AMD is anywhere near the Intel part in performance, it's a win for them. They'll sell well and gain a little market share.
If it somehow beats the Intel part, Intel will release something right away to counter it.
It's probably gonna be a buy for me no matter what since I have the 2600K already. They can sit across the room and hiss at one another for all that I care.![]()
