Default Replacement motherboard suggestions for Pavilion p6210f (Pegatron M2N78-LA)

I'm a little lost on trying to figure out what to look for in a replacement motherboard for my p6210f ((Pegatron M2N78-LA). I've looked at numerous links but everything I've seen has been 'out of stock'.

Any ideas what might be a good option these days and what I should be looking for?

Here are some of the same boards.

Replace with the same thing to assure that everything still fits and the connections all work.

This is why HP computers suck. They use cheap OEM motherboards with thin PCB's and many of them fail. You need a micro ATX motherboard and here is a refurb from New Egg for $49. It has onboard graphics too.

Thanks guys. Yeah, looks like what happened to my mobo is very common. The NVIDIA chipset overheats and the SATA ports stop working.

I'll probably go with the refurb since it's not worth spending 250 on the same board that has design flaws.

I'm trying to learn more about hardware (i write software for a living...) since the software won't work when the hardware doesn't. Pretty obvious, I know.

So, when looking for a replacement motherboard I assume that these are the main factors if i want to re-use my CPU, memory, case:
    1. CPU Socket Type: AM2+/AM3
    2. Size of the board to fit in the case: Micro ATX
    3. Memory: DDR2

Are there other major things to look for?

    Thanks again.
