    Check out this link
    ASRock Fatal1ty 990FX Professional | Pure Overclock
It does alright with the right set-ups, and the sub-zero testing was on par with other boards. Especially with the new 8350, and custom liquid, I would think you could get some good results. Still, I see your point with the msi board. It looks like an overclock beast.
    Also check this site out.
    PassMark Overclock Cpu Database Graph
It's not very exhaustive but can give you a good overhead view of everything. On the overclock chart, the 8350 seems to get more ground than the 3570.

Those are just the reasons why I personally went to the 8350. I know you can't go wrong with the i5 though, it's still an amazing processor.

i know your post was old but going with an 8350 to replace an 1100T is a bad idea especially if gaming is your main intent, a lot of games that the 1100T renders won't run correctly on FX chips i know i had a fx6300 that would not play crysis, i ended up selling the fx6300 on ebay to go toward a PHenom II x6 1090T to replace it . I also had an FX4100 that would not run crysis either , so i replaced it with an old 955 phenom II x4

    I had the Phenom II X4 965BE 3.4GHz OC'd at 3.7
    Just did a new build with the FX 8350 4.0GHz OC'd to 4.6 and a Sabertooth 990FX Rev 2
The difference is large, the 8350 is far better than the 965 I was using in many aspects. Smoother gaming, which I mostly do on my PC.
Works grate with COD multiplayer and Skyrim.
I think mostly, that people who are comparing the differences with gaming in these high end chips are looking at gains they will never actually see or otherwise notice without a benchmark visually showing them.
You're not really going to notice any difference, no matter the game, if you're using the same GPU to compare them.
