Default HP PAVILION p6310y bad motherboard

Hi guys I'm new to the forum here. I have a problem with my HP desktop, the sata controller isn't working suspected to be bad nvidia chip... Motherboard seems to need replacing, I checked the HD its working fine. I guess I'm either looking for a new motherboard or someone who would buy the computer as is. I dont want to put a bunch of money into it, my intentions are to sell as is or fix it then sell.

Here are the specs...HP Pavilion p6310y Desktop PC Product Specifications HP Pavilion p6310y Desktop PC | HP® Support

After checking for the newest drivers.
Uninstall the SATA controller from your system and reboot.
When it detects the SATA controller at the next startup, point Windows toward the new drivers and install them.
That may work for you. If not, I don't think that it's worth spending money on. Try to sell it for parts.
