    Default fx-9379

How can i obtain as much info as possible on the fx-9370 release date?
i only have interest in this as the 9590 seems to be unavailable to the general public. understanding that it will be (POSSIBLY) available at a latter time,
the 9370 looks more realistic in goals and expectations.

so is this 9370 supposed to be a 8 core at 4.7 gigs? without boost??
and if so, whats the native self boost look like?
whats the top boost that can be used with out (the stupidity) of half the cores shutting down??

I think you mean the FX-9370 which has a max turbo speed is 4.7 GHz with a base clock speed of 4.4 GHz.

ETA is unknown on both CPUs and word has it that the initial availability is only for system integrators.

AMD created a stir last week by announcing two FX-9000 series processors, including "first ever 5 GHz" CPU. At the time, the company revealed only model numbers and a few features of new products. According to AMD press release, FX-9370 and FX-9590 eight-core processors have 4.7 GHz and 5 GHz maximum Turbo Core frequency, and unlocked clock multiplier. The CPUs were rumored to come with 4.4 GHz - 4.8 GHz base clock speeds, and Thermal Design Power, exceeding 200 Watt.

The rumors were confirmed last Thursday, when TechReport published missing specifications of both chips. Based on them, the FX-9370 and FX-9590 CPUs operate at 4.4 GHz and 4.7 GHz, and they do have 220 Watt TDP. Although AMD indicated that initially both chips will be available only through system integrators, boxed versions of FX-9370 and FX-9590 already surfaced in some US online stores. None of the stores have the chips in stock, though. One store, PCSuperstore, currently lists the FX-9590 model for $920.31. The FX-9370 can pre-ordered for $576.27. The boxed FX processors have FD9370FHHKWOF and FD9590FHHKWOF part numbers, and the "WOF" suffix suggests that the boxes do not come with a fan/heatsink. The prices are lower than prices of Intel Core i7-3930K and i7-3960X extreme processors, but not much lower. With prices this high and extremely high power requirements, it remains to be seen how successful FX-9000 products will be.

I highly doubt that anyone will be willing to pay more than $500 for a cherry picked 8350. Because that's really all it is
It's just an 8350 that overclocks well and they've put a new sticker on it
If this means another price drop on the 8350/8320/6300 I'm a happy man though

I'm not an AMD hater, I love AMD as a matter of fact
I just don't see this selling great
