Default MSI teases new AMD motherboard for Computex 2014

I'm just gonna leave this here.

MSI teases new AMD motherboard for Computex 2014-983680_694184567284890_4590412653182339047_n.png

MSI is teasing a new AMD motherboard... and the only giveaway as to what it could be is this single post on their MSI Computer UK page. The board layout screams AM3+ because of the presence of the North Bridge heat sink... but what could they have possibly updated on these boards to warrant its production? Regardless I am very excited about this product's release as the motherboard market for AM3+ has always been a bit on the lack luster side with only two truly high performance offerings: the Crosshair from Asus and the UD7 from Gigabyte. Anything below those products in a company's respective product stacks required a lucky roll of the dice for overclocking to go over well (my UD3 is SOMEHOW getting my 8350 to 4.7 GHz...) and offer the levels of performance and visual appeal that the enthusiast always clamors for. Even better would be if these boards received the same re-coloring options that the other products in their Gaming lineup are rumored to be receiving.

Looks like a mATX of the A88X series board..
    But I could be wrong.

But then again, it could be a release of a AM3+ board since MSI hasn't had the Gaming edition to this platform yet.

Nice! It is about time for some new update on the AM3+ platform... The 990FX series boards are getting a little old and tiring...
Good Job MSI for not letting this platform die just yet!

    Fingers crossed for something Good!

Yeah I REALLY hope this board comes equipped with something like M.2 compatibility or an AC model for wireless intertubes. I'd also like to see an implementation similar to what Asus did with the VERY limited run Gen3 Sabertooth where they used a SoC co-processor to allow support for PCI-E 3.0 on the Scorpius platform. This board is now ESPECIALLY interesting to me seeing as how my UD3 took another sh** on me today -_-

EDIT: also... Kenny pointed this out already... but don't you all find it interesting that just below the fourth PCI slot on the teaser pic is the internal I/O for the board? High performance AM3+ in mATX form factor, much?

Well after having done a bit of digging, the board utilizes the 970 north bridge and contains an 8 phase VRM (ATX form factor). No news on a mATX board yet, though the teaser image seems to indicate that mATX is a thing... probably won't know anything else until later on this week.
