This is the first 970 chipset board I have seen that can support SLI and Xfire, If I read the data specs correctly, this can actually support X16 on the first PCIe lane and x8 on the second. Which will make for a x8/x8 operation in SLI and Xfire. Most 970 chipset boards in the pass has only supported Xfire and only x4 in the second slot.

Great Job MSI for pulling this off on a 970 chipset. I will need to read more about it to see how the lanes are configured but this is good news for those not looking to spend a whole lot of money on a mid range board that supports these features.

Also not only that, but the board is pretty sexy looking.. Good new for you AMD guys out there looking for a alternative.

Yeah i was actually contemplating trying to pick up one of these when i had a little spare cash, probably one of the best options right now for someone on a more restricted budget that still wants to game with the best of them and still have room for system expansion. The only off-putting thing I've seen with this board so far is that CPU voltage can only be controlled with offset rather than manual totals. Kind of a bummer.
