    Default AMD Athlon 64 x2 3800+ or Athlon 64 4000+

    Good Evening,
I have a friend who currently has an AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Socket 939 Processor. He is wondering whether to get either an AMD Athlon 64 x2 3800+ or an AMD Athlon 64 4000+ and has asked me for help. He typically plays games such as Counter Strike. Which would be the best processor for his PC?

    His specifications are

    AMD Athlon 64 3500+
    Socket 939 ASUS Motherboard
    2GB Dual PC3200 RAM
    nVidia 6600LE PCIe 256MB
    Windows XP Professional Edition SP2

may aswell go the X2 route and overclock, single core is pointless thesedays considering the prices of dual core's.
