Default Athlon II X4 635 volts & temps

    Hi guys!

I just got my build finished and started to wonder about my cpu's max volts and temps.

Already got it to 3,4Ghz and plan to push it to 3,6Ghz with as low volts as possible.

I know my PSU is **** and I'm going to replace it at some point, when I get money (I'm a student with 0 income).

Right now HWMonitor says my core temps are at 17C, when idle, which can't be true because my room temp is around 20C, so what temp monitoring program have you guys found accurate?

Thanks for the info in advance!

They're all gonna do that. Look at the TMPIN0,1,2 readings, one of those will be your CPU. Max voltage, just keep it under 1.6V. I think you'll hit a wall before you hit that, so it likely won't be a problem. Personally, I try to keep it below 1.55, but some are comfortable with 1.6. YRMV.

By the way, welcome to Pure Overclock!

Thanks for the fast reply logan

Currently running @3,3Ghz on everyday use and temps get to 45C when running prime95 blend. That doesn't sound bad to me considering that my old CPU got up to 54C on factory settings when just gaming lightly

Still wondering about the MAX temps if I try to push this baby, propably going to happen this weekend

And thanks for the welcomes also!

There was a typo on AMD's website for thermal limit on the 635 but all the other 95W's were 71 max temps(630 was 71 on 95W). You can safely push it to 60+.
