My favourite Christmas will be this year because my grandfather's tumor surgery succeeded and he's just fine now:Also I managed to make my uncle buy a new computer for his children who had been forced to play games on an ancient pcWinning this contest would make it even better, but I don't mind it not happening if things keep going so well

When I was six, I was messing around with the radiator in our house and spilled boiling water all over myself... it's basically my favorite memory because it's hilarious.

My best holiday memory is ice skating with the one I love at Rockefeller Center rink on Xmas eve. I didn't know how to skate, so she taught me, and she had been skating since she was a little kid. I wasn't any good at all, just hanging on to the side rails and trying not to fall, but it was a good time. Quite possibly one of the best times.

My best holiday memory was way back year 2008, after working for almost 4 years abroad and away from family. i spend the vacation time with them for only one month. during my stay we treat everyday as holiday, because we dont know when will be the time that we're going to spend the holidays again with each other!

My favorite Christmas memory is last year - my son's first Christmas. He stayed interested for about 45 minutes, which I think is amazing for an 8 month old. He even wanted to play with the toys instead of the wrapping paper or boxes.

This year will be completely different. He'll be 20 months on Christmas day, is an absolute ham and has more engery than I have grey hair...I have a lot of grey hair, which I hear goes hand in hand.

There's a good chance I may have a new favorite memory if this contest is run next year but you never forget the first.

In the fall of '94, my pet cat named Tabi (yeah he's a tabby) ran away from home. I found Tabi when I was 4, and he was a barn cat so it was not unusual for him to go missing for a few days or even a week at a time. But after two months had gone past without spotting him, we gave him up for dead. To try and console me, my parents bought me a new kitten that was a Himalayan-Siamese cross. This new cat, called Wanton, had the worst meow ever and my 6-year old self hated him. Nevertheless, I tried to befriend the cat and we started to get along even though I was severely annoyed by his loudness and the fact that he didn't seem to understand the concept of a litter box. It had been a couple of weeks and Christmas was getting nearer.

A few days before Christmas, we had our yearly Christmas dinner at the home of some family friends and when the night was done and we pulled into our driveway, we noticed a small shadowy figure sitting on the window sill. "A stray!" said my dad. "A scamp!" said my mom. "Chase it away!" said my sister. "IT'S TABI!" said I. Lo and behold, Tabi had returned and with a Christmas Mouse as a gift to boot!

It was the happiest Christmas of my life. My best friend had come home, and it was the best gift I've ever received. Now, as for little Wanton, we could not keep him since I had my Tabi back (who would have likely tried to eat the kitten), so we gave him away to my mother's friend. Her kids renamed him Max, and he is living it up to this day.

Tabi is over 18 years old now and has stopped disappearing for days, weeks, or months (which he did on two more occasions) now, and spends most of his time sleeping by the fireplace.

Photo of Tabi taken a few years back:

The best Christmas's for myself have been happening for the last 13years, since my son was born. Nothing beats the look on a child's face when their opening presents.

One of My favorite Christmas was back in the early 70's a bunch of us Guys were down at the corner bar. It had snowed like crazy that winter and the streets and hills were covered and hard packed with snow. The wives and the kids were at My Mom's house and were preparing Christmas dinner!

After several Zombies killer drink by the way! We walked back to the house feeling no pain lol,
When we got the bright idea to steal the kids sleds from the back of the house and go sled the hill behind us,

It turned into the wives kids and us riding down the hill together.
We blew up some truck inner tubes took them along with the kids sleds, you had to be there to appreciate it grownups and kids all in one inner tube crashing into one another flipping over in a pile at the bottom of the hill it turned into a great family outing.

My best holiday memory was when i was 12 at christmas eve where as a tradition me and a friend like most kids went to houses to sing (a song like jingle bells) for money or candies.A half drunk young lady opens the door,we say the song, she looks for money or candies, she doesnt have any,she is thinking a bit and says "we cool if i show you my breasts?" we say "COOL" so she shows as her breasts for 2 sec.15 years later we still use it as an expression among friends when we are in a restaurant or coffee and someone forgets his wallet or dont have money he says "we cool if i show you my breasts?" I can still remember the house btw...

My best Christmas memory happened when I was 10 years old or so. My parents didn't have much money so my sisters and I usually got a few small gifts.Well that Christmas morning we woke up to discover shiny new bicycles under the tree for each of us. Our uncle had stopped by while we were all asleep and brought them for us. I think Mom and Dad were just as happy as we were. This was back before video games or computers, etc were the big thing.

The best Christmas memory I have was when my parents got my sister and me a N64 with Mario Kart. While this may seem like another lame memory where we got some significant item, it was very special for us because we grew up in a very ASIAN type of household. In this household, you had to get straight A/A-s, you could never have video games or any type of electronic entertainment (TV wasnt on that much...), strict bed times, and could not go out. Well it appeared that my sister's and me were convincing enough to have our parents get us our first video game system so we could have something that all the other kids had. We played that thing even when other kids moved on to the next system because we appreciated what we had (and our parents were definitely not going to go get the next gen thing). Its too bad that my grades somewhat plummeted to straight A-s instead of As...

I have to write this quick as i`m @ work in a short break, but as i`m very happy about this chance i`m gonna tell you all my Holiday memory.

Well my favorite holiday memory is a special day, Christmas day, very long time ago. Funny, shocking but still it was the great when I look behind and see how it was...
I think it`s my first Christmas that I really remember when I was young.
Every year, when Santa came I used to say some poetry or story, like all of us used to do. Right?
Everytime when Santa arrived i wore a sweater. And everytime i was telling the story I began rolling up my sweater, little by little until i had the sweater all tied up under my neck.
But in that night, I was so excited and afraid that Santa might not like my story and he`ll not give me my presents...
I believe it was time for me to find out what my father`s neighbour was doing every year when Santa came. Somehow during the story and my sweater “roll-up” I was looking at his shoes. I didn`t realize at that moment that every winter I saw that shoes somewhere. I was focused on the story but I couldn`t take my eyes from those shoes. Everybody was so silent in that room. Only the Santa was HO-HO-HO all the time and he was trying to keep me from telling my story.

After some minutes, I was about to finish, when Santa told me to look at him and then, he grabbed me by the sweater, probably to have me sitting down on his knee. I don`t know why, maybe I got scared or something but the next thing i know - I pushed him off the chair. He was sitting near the Christmas tree and suddenly the tree with all the decoration was down on the floor, Santa`s feet up in the air and those shoes were still killing me. I jumped near him and pulled his beard and hat and I was in shock!! For real! It can`t be true!
I knew I saw those shoes somewhere. And that face. What did he do with Santa?
I was so freaked out when I saw that my neighbour stole Santa`s costume that I freezed for couple of moments as I didn`t believe my eyes. Soon all people around me, laughing, told me the truth and i was so disappointed, i can`t even describe that feeling...

I was so upset you can`t even imagine, but still in that night, I got all my presents. Maybe for doing all the hard work when unmasking Santa. From that year I wish I could see those shoes again, the beard, the red costume…This was quite nice when some mistery was around the Christmas holiday…I miss those times. And this will stay in my heart forever, until something good and nice happens and add it as my favorite

PS: sorry if i made mistakes while writing but this was my perfect work break ever. thanks PUREOC!

One of my favorite holiday moments was Christmas 2008 which was also, my Grandma's 80th birthday.

My mother's side of the family is English, and for this particular Christmas, even my most obscure cousins from Europe were there--facilitating the largest family gathering I've seen to date.

My favorite holiday moment hands down, was when I walked out back for the usual pre-dinner smoke session (haha my family rocks.) Instead of it being my Grandma, Brother, Cousin, and maybe a few friends (which is already awesome...) it was THIRTY people in a circle, passing 3-4 different pipes and a few joints. Smokin' with cousins I didn't even know I had.... priceless.

Best Christmas ever (and best Christmas dinner ever.)
