The Corsair 500 watt would be perfect IMO. $ saved here can be applied to other areas.

Good news folks, my replacement SSD from Patriot arrived today. I checked it out and it works! It's also a good thing that it happened that way, because the original that was DOA was a different firmware than the other one I was pairing it with, and this new one now matches instead. So now hopefully this weekend, or maybe tonight if I can put my mind to it, I'll also be checking out that nice Gigabyte mobo as well, and who knows, maybe get a small start on setting up the RAID array too I must admit I'm excited!

Lol, hopefully I'll be able to do that once I've got it all set up and ready to go. For the time being, I don't hardly have anything for this build yet. I've the mobo, RAM, APU and the 2x Pyro 60GB SSD's for the RAIDed C: drive (currently using my 500W Ultra PSU to ensure the stuff actually runs & such, don't really want to leave that as the PSU for my dad, just in case something happens to that one like the one it replaced, as it's an RMA replacement unit). I'm presently using the APU's stock heatsink and a spare case I have (that's definitely NOT going to be the one it is actually built in, lol, way too big and bulky CM 830). So I still need a better cooler, a case, and some other hardware, even a new KB n mouse for it too, since his current stuff is kinda "crap", lol. I'm trying to win as much of that as possible from this forum's and other place's contests, but it's not easy to do. I'm hoping that very soon y'all will see the started thread for Projekt USMC Dress Blues, I just don't know how long.

But at least I have the primary components ready to go for this now

Yeah, lol, that I'm well aware of. Been collecting parts for this by entering contests for over a year now. First part I got for his build is the Pyro 60GB SSD that I just got the replacement for, then a few months later I traded a Kingston 128GB V200 for another Pyro 60GB to match with the 1st one. A month or 2 later I won the first FM1 Gigabyte mobo that this new one will be used in place of. I only just a few weeks ago was able to sell off some stuff to buy the A8-3870K APU to go in this thing. I'm seriously hoping to win the rest of this stuff i need very soon, and hopefully the main stuff from this Corsair contest I entered.

So just in case anyone was wondering by chance, this evening/morning (whatever time it is wherever you're reading this :P), I was able to solidly confirm that this motherboard is indeed working. I'm very excited. I was originally going to use the GA-A75-UD4H I already had, for my dad's USMC PC, but even this one is capable of way more than he or any of the rest of the family will use it for, so it's all good to go ahead and use this one instead. One nice thing, is that it takes up a smaller footprint than the UD4H as well, so that leaves more room to manipulate the inside of the case for modifications, etc.

In other news, last week I also won a new A8-3870K from another place, along with an 8GB kit of Kingston red series RAM to go with it, which I've yet to determine what I'll do with those, aside from pairing them up with the GA-A75-UD4H. From another place I won a sweet new Tt Smart 650W PSU, mouse and mouse pad, and at another place a triple 140mm acrylic fan grill to mod for this USMC PC projekt as well. All 3 packages have yet to be delivered, so hopefully I'll have them in my possession very soon and can get to checking them out. I can't help but to be stoked! Btw, I didn't win the Corsair contest, but it's no big deal, God's blessing me in other ways for this and other projects

I have a Seasonic 750 all Modular that I paid 119.00 for on the Egg and it works fine in crossfire and in Sli with 2 X GTX 480s.

We just received the Seasonic X 1250W, review should be up within two weeks, have to do the PC Power & Cooling MK III 1200W first

BTW, this board overclocked the best out of all the A75 boards I tested.

I was torn between which one to use to be honest, because both are OCing beasts with the A8-3870K. I saw the killer OC that Christian Ney got (even though he used LN2 and if I OC any it'll be on either air or water) with the GA-A75-UD4H, and I was like lol. I won't OC my dad's unless it becomes necessary (extremely unlikely), but mine I may end up doing so, not sure just yet. I'm not even 100% sure exactly what I'll even use mine for to be honest, didn't ever think I'd even get a chance to win another APU and RAM to go with the board and was considering having the mobo as a backup just in case something went wrong with the other, lol, but it's all good. Abundance of awesome isn't a bad thing whatsoever
