Default 2gbs Quad Raid External Hitachi Hard Drive USB, Firewire 84.99

I don't think I have ever seen anything like this, it uses Raid 0 or Raid 1, but it has to be limited by the USB or Firewire connections for transfer speed, I would think, can anyone shed any light on this?

    Hi Alan

You have 4 different ways to connect this, eSata, Firewire 800 or Firewire 400, and finally USB. There's also a reset buttom, and a switch to change the RAID setting from Protect to Speed, at the far end after the USB, a place to plkug in the DC power unit.
Actually a lot of different company's make these, you can find them with setups for 4,6, and 8 HDDs most likey more if you do a Google search

I know that Stan but I would also know what you think of it as an external drive, with the price of platter drives coming down so fast, do you like this as a viable way to store data and movies?
