There have been some deals on the 240GB drives here and there. But everything I see it by the time I get to it. its sold out.

Good deal on the OCZ drive Jim posted as well. I have that drive and its a great drive for the money.
Ill post more deals on SSD's deals when I have them.

I have a RSS Feed on my ipad that tells me about SSD deals on a daily basis. I only post the ones that really catch my attention.

Agreed, Would love to put a few 240GB SSD's into RAID just to cultivate a little bit of attitude.

That would be cool. Will the new Intel drivers that support SSD RAID configurations work in an AMD system?

I don't buy it. It's an i7-980 with an ASUS GTX-580 in it. (fully greased with 12GB of good RAM)
It probably boots pretty damn fast.

My 990X with the Asus Rampage 3 Black Edition and Crucial m4 240GB booted up in 30secs, which was a nice change from a platter drive and the m4 240GB only had 65GBs of free space left.

A SSD is a big step in making a good performing system. Even if you can't afford to get the large drives the 120gb is more then enough for the Avg user.
If you have larger programs that you don't want on a SSD do what I did and install a 1TB or even 500GB Platter Drive and install the program on that.

It may take a little longer to load that program but over boost your PC experience as a whole.

That's what I do with all by systems, 240GB SSD, and a 1TB drive for storage
