Default Wanna buy a new case

Hey guys I want a gaming case big/full tower with lotīs of airflow and fan options but also an option to mount a 240/360 radiator (...I want the case to look stunning ..good quality....and if possible a built in fan controller would be cool but that modetary....I have a budget of 265 dollars...here the cases I have been interested in a while....I actually bought the phantom but wasnīt satisfied so I sent it back....I also like the Antec Lan Boy altough I think it is a little small....and the bitfenix colossus is also nice but no window...... Please help me to find the perfect case for 270 dollars^^ I know you are the pros if you cannot help me nobody can

There is the watercooling kits I wanna fit in the case
Either the 360 or the 240 I am undecided yet

If your video card(s) aren't too long, what about the Silverstone Fortress FT02? Curiously absent from that WaCo case guide.

I understand you are looking for a case but ever think of a tech station? If you tinker with your syatem a lot they are great and there are a few real cool ones available... Just mentioning it.

    I got my i7 950 at 4.1 with 1.26Vcore currently cooled with my noctua UP12 Full load at 64 C .
My GTX 295 712/1512/1215(soon to be GTX 590^^) also gets really hot.
So I was thinking for those a 240 rad wouldnīt be enough....thats why I will need a 360 ....and that watercooling kit from special tech the Rasa 750 RS360 is pretty pricey thats why my case budget is so low

Because I like the Phantom so much out of looks and price
I was thinking about just mounting the radiator externally but not attached to the case but on itīs own stand...only problem with that would be how I powerd the fans cooling the rad??

If you still got some more ideas for cases in the range of (200 € actually cause I live in Germany^^) so that would be 265 dollars.
What are your oppinions on the bitfenix collossus or the Silverstone RV03 ??
My main priorities are looks(lotīs of LED ,a side window, lots of features,space,price....personally I think mounting rad on the outside is always better cause it will be sucking ambient air instead of hot case air

A 240 could be mounted in the phantom but I think with the components I want to cool a 240 wouldnīt be enough right?
Actually a lot of people mount it at the top where the exhaust fans used to be ...but I personally donīt understand why people do that..it just sucks all the hot air from the case and blows it into the radiator...isnīt that nonsense?
I am not a pro but external mount seems just much more reasonable to me.

Because I like the Phantom so much cause of looks and price
I was thinking about just mounting the radiator externally but not attached to the case but on itīs own stand...only problem with that was be how I would power the fans cooling the rad??

Or should I just wair for a great case to come?

    Kung,

TT Armour series are great cases & are within your budget
    http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/Products.aspx?C=1277

    I have both the Armour+ VH6000BWS & VH6000SWA cases
I previously had their Shark case.
The very large & very quiet, the side fan is great for cooling.

    RE: External Rad
    I am running 2 pumps & 2 tri-rads externally
The PSU leads & the rad &/or Pump leads are long enough on their own.
The TT 1200watt PSU runs everything with no problem

If you go with external components, use some kind of shutoff connects for your hoses
    - if ever you need to move the case.

Here is an old near finished picture, before I cleaned up the wires

    Regards, Doug

1.)Cool build^^! but how are you powering the fans on the rads??
2.)Wanted to buy the phantom but I sent it back because it wasnīt the version with the lower 120 rear mounting holes and at that time I wanted to get the h70 which would have barely fit.

Now some things have changed...my budget rose to 265-300 dollars.
I need a big tower ....for watercooling therefore it should fit 240 or better 360 rad....good cable management...but also should have good airflow..I want it to look really cool ...have lots of space . ..removable mobo tray, and if possible usb 3.0 ...and a side window and if that is all in my price range of 265-300 dollars that would be awesome^^.

Now the cases I have already looked into or that were recommended to me:
FT02 is supposed to have good airflow but not removable mobo tray ..bad cable management ..and bad for water cooling so thatīs a no.

Lian Li A77F and P80 Armorsuite ...they would be great but they not only bust my budget they both dont have a side window.

    HAF X ..ugly

corsair 600t and 700D and so on ....not bad but all of their cases are just the typical black dust catcher...so also no

I have been emailing with the head of the nzxt phantom Costumer Support Va Trung and he said...
that the new version of the phantom that will be released in 2011 might have some new features like a window what not but nothing is confirmed yet.

So my main concern now is that I will buy a case now and then will be angry in 2011 because there will be something better for the same price.

So if you know what cases are announced for 2011 january - march with everything I need for my max price I will wait gladly
But if you do know a case that is out already or in the coming days that meets my needs and is in my price range pleaaase tell me

Have you ever thought about doing a completely custom case? It'd be more unique, and you can get it just the way you'd like it with a bit of work! That's what I'm doing, I'm too picky about my cases haha
