I have been mulling over getting a new case to replace my current one as it seems whilst its big its not got amazing airflow.
I have been offered a Lian Li PC-7FN for £60 which is incredibly cheap but i wanted to make sure it would run cooler.
Has anyone got any experience of this case or are there any others you would reccomend close to this price?
Also it is in a small space (pics in the "warm case" thread) so needs very good cooling.

Thanks Drdeath - its been a weird decision as i havent really got the money for it bu my current temps are a tad higher than id like and people with much smaller cases seem to be getting much better temps.

Russ
The Lian Li 7FN comes with a 120mm rear fan and a 140mm Blue LED front fan, there are plenty of cases on the market for the same price with better air flow. If you buy the Lian Li 7FN your going to end up with the same air flow problems your having with your current case.
Yes you can mod the side panel to add a 200mm or 230mm fan but have you ever done any modding before ? You have to make sure you place the fan where it's not going to interfere with your graphic cards or CPU cooler, and once the holes cut there's no turning back so it has to be cut right the first time.
Your best choice is finding a case with the best air flow possible that fit's your budget. Seeing as the Lian Li PC-7FN runs around $99 is that your budget or are you willing to spend a little more ?

But is it around his budget of $100? I have talked to them about samples, they do not have a US distributor for cases yet.

My budget realistically is only £60 as thats what i was offered the lian li at and is the only reason i even considered a new case at all.
So £100 would really be beyond my budget as im currently a student and trying to keep debts to a minnimum

I like the sound of that plan as it seems to get anything significantly better im looking closer to £100-120 for anything worthwhile. I also know someone who can mod cases very well (he helped my current one so i could fit the side panel) so could add a side panel fan

Modded Lian Li sounds very tempting. They're kinda elite, so you'd get a bit of bragging rights amongst friends, particularly if you have a modded Lian Li.
Make sure you take time to cable the interior very well. Nothing worse than messing up a gorgeous Lian Li case with a rat's nest of cables on the inside. Think big. Be proud.![]()

Check their site first, they may have a windowed side panel with a fan.

Hi Biff
Save considerable cash and just buy the AZZA Hurrican 2000 for $130.00 here is the US. Same case take a look at the review we did here on it.
