First Multiplayer Game: Rainbow Six the original made in like 1996 or something like that

This project is pretty much done, other than adding a 3.5 bay cover, upgrading the cpu to a Intel Core2Quad Q6600 and a video card later down the road.

    Updated pics

Here is where I started from

And here is what i ended up with

And here is what it looks like in the living room

Below is the Worlog of VOoDOo Media

Ok so some parts are on the way and i got off my lazy butt to start sanding "VOoDOo Media" and taped up

here is all the parts sanded. The front cover will be dremmeled untill it will accept a 120mm fan
. This pc is just going to be painted all black inside and out with blue accent lighting, kind of a "Sleeper" look.

    here is the blu-ray burner

    Asus Blu-Ray burner

    and the motherboard

    Asus HTPC mobo

didnt realize when i bought it it only took ddr3 memory so now i gotta get 2 sticks of that too, so the list is adding up!!!

Belive it or not this is going to be a 3 dimensional object. This is going to be a holder for the side case fans that pops out of the case, so the fans arent taking up soo much room. This will bassically pop out from the left side of the case about an inch, with sloped sides, kinda like a pyramid.

This paint job is turning into a real pain in the ass!!! Had to sand again today and just when i started painting again, it started raining. I guess this is a sign from god

Ok so Got some progress to show you guys!!!! Sorry for the crappy pics, but I didnt feel like taking my wifes pink camera to the shop with me, so I just used my phone.

Got my fan case all cut out and started breaking the 45's

After that its onto the spot welder to hold the corners together

Then its time to cut out the middle the old fashioned way with hand snips (basically metal scissors) But had a little mishap!

J/K!!!! You have to cut as much excess metal as you can before starting the straight lines or else you will bend the whole piece to crap.

    Now its cutting tim3 again!!!

And spotwelded the fan case to the side panel

Tomorrow its tim3 to put bondo all over, let it dry, then sand, then paint!!!!. I know its a lot of work for some dam fans!!! Also had some parts come in today but they arent all here so I will post pics when the remainder of parts arrive.

Got some parts the other day and getting ready to paint today so i thought i would show you what im working with

Open Box ASUS P5G41T-M/CSM LGA 775 Intel G41 HDMI Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

Also Open Box ASUS Internal Blu-ray Burner Blu-ray Burner BW-12B1LT LightScribe Support - OEM

Going to be cutting the front plate to accept a 120mm fan and also painting. Hoping to get a used Core 2 Quad Q6600 and also a GTX 580 so I can put the Asus R.O.G. HD5870 into it from the skeleton build.

So your saying its going to go from ugly to beautiful right??? Your version of beautiful is just a gorrila juicehead, i understand. Thanks TitanOne your compliments are appreciated bud. although i would have used a model or pornstar to describe beautiful.

Just got done painting The Blu-Ray drive and started on the panels

and the panels need sanding and a few more coats, also cut a hole in the front panel. You can see it protruding from the front lower half cover. Did that to fit a 120mm fan up front.

So finally after weeks of waiting I got my new cooling system in today! (thats our driver adam he is crazy, he likes to hit cars)

After i got the new cooling system i realized i needed more room, So its cutting tim3!!!!!

J/k thats an air handler that blows 10,000 cfm. I dont think i need that much. Just going to use case fans on this build

While the paint gods did not want me to paint today, at least my pop rivet gun worked! So I got the drive chasis mounted back up. All of my parts should be here by wednesday, but i have class all week so i will see how motivated I am on Thursday

UPDATE: Cant justify spending 10+ hours sleeving a 550w PSU that has a red theme to begin with, so this is all she gets!!!

PARTS, PARTS, PARTS!!!!!!!!! Now I just need to get some time to install them!

    Scythe KAZE Q fan controller
    Roswill SSD Mounting bracket
GELID 3x 120mm UV and led case fans
GELID 1x 92mm UV case fan
G.SKILL Sniper series 60GB SSD up to 285MBps write
    G.SKILL Sniper series DDR3 1333 2x 4GB 9-9-9-24
Mountain Mods Custom 5.25" drvie bay cover

Lets get a closer look at that drive bay cover, eh?

    Now under blacklight

    Memory

    SSD

Oh and those pretty GELID fans!

    All un boxed and unwrapped

Hopefully going to get to applying bondo to the side panel tomorrow, and maybe painting it to. Also need to paint the casing of the fan controller, its all grey and paint screws. After that all that is left to do is put it together!!!!! Got a bunch of free junk from newegg for buying the SSD and DDR3 as a combo, t-shirt, dogtags and got a usb drive for buying the fans!

Got some more progress to show!

Mounted fans and drilled holes. Love those fans, cant wait to get it painted and get them lit up!!!!!

Also started applying the bondo to the edges of my fan pan? I guess i will call it that. Messed up on hardening mixture so this will have to wait until tommorow for sanding and painting.

And got the fan controller case painted

Thats all for today! I should have this at least put together by friday.

So I made a little progress last night and today. After the first trail with bondo I had to peel it off and start agian. So i sanded that down. and painted. THEN ITS ASSEMBLEY TIME!! (still need a 3.5" bay cover)

Had a hell of a time getting the door on after painting

Sorry BJ had to use your 9800GT for a month or so

Still havent turned her on yet but was really busy, I will get around to seeing how she glows tomorrow! Also going to be putting the two 2TB and one 1TB drive from the skeleton in tomorrow as well as the wifi card. Waiting on case lights from Mountain Mods which should be here monday. Next month sould be the end of this build, as I will be buying a Intel core 2 quad q6600 and hopfully a video card, the video card might have toi wait longer. I will get better pics up tomorrow!

LMFAO!!! Well Wiamond dont worry because I have now moved "VOoDOo" to its rightful place atop the computer desk throne! I will now own you on my 22"!!!!

Got some pics Of "VOoDOo Media" Glowing next to its brother for yall. But first lets look at where this all started from

Lets see it in the dark!

This is the inside in the dark, It was very hard to get a good pic because UV lighting messes with cameras so bad without a UV filter.

And brothers together in the light

Well Thats pretty much it until I get the funds for a Core 2 Quad Q6600 and a video card (hopefully a GTX580 and hopefully soon!!!).

P.S. Some of you might have noticed that other computer under the desk, That is "VOoDOo Server" You will be seeing more of him in the future!

Got "VOoDOo Media" all set up in the living room, thought you guys might like to see her she fits in.
Her she is all lit up by the cabinet LED's

And this "VOoDOo Media" doing its main job, MOVIE TIME!!! Brett was watching this movie more intensly than he watches his cartoon!
