if your going to case mod ..cutting metal I highly recommend the Fiberglass Reinforced Cut-Off Wheel http://www.dremel.com/en-us/Accessor...l.aspx?pid=426 the others just don't last anytime you end up spending more time changing wheels then cutting

Question Re: What Dremel Tool...Didja consider a scroll saw?

As a fellow that uses a Dremmel nearly everyday, I gotta tell you that the fiberglass wheels throw off a lot of dust, and wear down quickly too, not to mention the dust from the metal you're eating up with it.

(My B&D has lasted the longest of all of them, but the variable speed adjustment doesn't work any more.)

But, it's what I use to cut everything including stainless.

I buy fiber-enforced wheels (426's) on fleabay by the hundreds.

    Didja consider a scroll saw?

depends on what Im cutting I found the Jigsaw with a 28-34DPI blade works cleaner then a Dremel for modding with the exception of smaller cuts, but for blow holes or windows, large cuts I always use jigsaw I find it easier to control.

I did 99% of my case mods with a jigsaw and cleaned up the edges with a barrel sander on my dremel as Lox mentioned the 426 works great but wear eye protection and a dust mask.
