Default Noob looking for a case.

    Hey, me again.
So I currently have the Corsair Obsidian 550D. This case is great, I just dislike how massive it actually is. I go to my buddies house for the night some times, and I bring my computer, so to lug a beast like this, isn't fun, especially with a bad leg.

So, I'd like a new case that's not so massive. But, I'm kinda picky, and don't really know what's good or not.

I know I'd PREFER black. It needs a USB 3.0 port in the front. Can't be too big, but.. the kicker is I have the Corsair H100 liquid cooler, so it's a 240mm rad. So I need somewhere to put this, I'd hope not on the outside.

Any help would be great. I also wouldn't like to break the bank, as for me, this case at nearly $200 was a lot.

Are you planning on using a full size ATX board? Long video cards? 1 or more GPUS?

Take a peek at this section of PureOC. Lots of information on cases.Cases & PSU | Pure Overclock

Yeah, we defiantly need to know what kind of hardware you plan on installing. The 500D is not that large of a case, it's only a mid tower, but if you need something smaller, take a look at the BitFenix Prodigy.

Well, the 550d seems to be very tall. Compared to many other cases I see, it's a monster.
I'm looking for someting a little smaller, but still big enough to fit all the junk I have.

Fractal R4 is a nice case... also the Cooler Master Storm Scout II, but will not fit the H100..
Also look at the Cooler Master HAF Lan XB.. great case, can fit 240mm and also converts to a test bench if needed.

Easy to carry around as a LanPC as well.

The HAF XB gets my vote. Looks to be a great case that is easy to move but still has a lot of space for gear.

The Define R4 is an outstanding case and I loved doing a build in it. The only issue is that is it heavy. You wouldnt want to lug it around fully loaded.

Make sure you look at that link I provided above. The guys here have done a great job on the case reviews. I am sure you will find one there that will be perfect for you.

I do like how it looks, but for me, I'd need something more of a tower. Just not as tall or long as the 550d.

I am looking around newegg, but they all seem to be huge.

Corsair 300R or 200R.. I think both can support the H100, I haven't played with them but read good things about it..

    The 200R looks perfect!
I'm hoping the rad fits on top.
Worst case.. I buy the smaller 120mm rad.

Thanks, I'll let you know how well it works.

the 200R will fit the h100 no problem but the 300r will have issues unless you take out the hdd trays and mount it on the front.
