Default Corsair Expands PC Case Line with a Trio of Carbide Series SPEC Gaming Cases

Corsair, a designer and supplier of high-performance components to the PC hardware market, today announced the Carbide SeriesTM SPEC range of gaming PC cases in three models: the SPEC-01, SPEC-02, and SPEC-03. Characterized by aggressive styling, modern features, superior air cooling, and expandability, the SPEC range offers everything gamers need from a case and nothing they don't.

Spec-03 is ok, but the 01 and 02 are no go for me..
But, I would much rather have a 350D or 750D, but price wise, they are great for what you pay.

lol for what they're charging I can see why the design is... shall we say... fu***** hideous x-D... however the price point and the offset fan holes in the roof intrigue me... I wonder if they are set far enough apart from the motherboard to allow support for a 240mm slim rad in the roof? Granted this is DEFINITELY not gonna win any beauty contests without modding on the outside (think Raidmax) but with a price like that, if it can support anything more than JUST fans in the roof it will sell like friggin CRAZY! Especially for people who want something like an H105 for an APU system running Dual Graphics or a 760K with discrete video.

Oh god.. That front panel is horrible... Since when did Corsair start manufacturing ugly cases!?! They have always had very refined cases, basic, clean lines... Now... This... Its like that slow relative who you try not to associate with lol

I like the Corsair Carbide Series Air 540 a hell of a lot better,.......It's on sale for $125.99 at Newegg today, shipped.

    (well worth the extra money)

I have to admit that I like how they offset the upper fan blanks, so that any radiator installed would not hit the motherboard.
This is just like my Arc Midi case. (pic below)

But, I would much rather have a 350D or 750D, but price wise, they are great for what you pay.
Of the three, I like the spec-2 the best. Much less obtrusive IMHO.

    (well worth the extra money)

I have to admit that I like how they offset the upper fan blanks, so that any radiator installed would not hit the motherboard.
This is just like my Arc Midi case. (pic below)

I just grab an Air 540 from MicroCenter for $99. It is a stellar case. You will see my build in it soon
