    Default Adaptive case designs.

Does anyone know of any cases with original layouts? I might be borderline ridonkulous for even stressing over it, but I find current case designs to be flawed. I'll give some reasons.

VGA orientation. It used to not be the case [situation], but graphics cards today have evolved into heavy giants. The moment stress a modern card+cooler exerts on the mainboard while it hangs in its slot parallel to the ground makes me unsettled. Besides, the cards act as wall barriers for upwards heat convection.

Does it not make sense to have the cards oriented perpendicular to the floor, thereby reducing stress and allowing heat to flow upwards? I almost want to stand a case up on its front panel and just forget about any optical disk drives.

HDD cages. One they get in the way of (yes) the vga. There are cases that have cages facing out the window, but my problem with this is that the cage blocks flow from intake fans. Even case grills impede lots of air flow. I dremel all my case fan grates out and use metal wire grills instead. From a fluids perspective, it just makes sense. Chieftec seems to be the only company that realizes my dilemma as proven by some of their hdd case fan layouts. Check one out here. It's just an example of an innovative design.

You brilliant, brilliant men! Both sites are exactly what I needed. Mountain mods has awesome customization, and that Silverstone is just wicked.
