Default Antec 900 and NZXT Sentry LX

    Hi,

I'm in the process of looking for a new case, and I fell in love with the Antec 900. I want to overclock and be able to monitor my temperatures and adjust the fans accordingly while in game and with this case I'd have to open up the case to adjust them, which doesn't exactly work while playing a fast paced game. I then found the NZXT Sentry LX, it looks beautiful and does exactly what I want out of a fan controller. The thing is the fans in the Antec 900 are all 4 pin power connectors, from what I've read in reviews while the Sentry LX has five 3 pin power connectors.

What I want to know is would I have to mod the fans at all or if i bought a 3 pin to 4 pin adapter, would I be able to hook up each fan seperatly? Or would it be more cost effective and/or easier if I just replaced all of the 120mm fans with new 120mm fans that use 3 pin? I'm not so worried about the 200mm fan on the top as I would probably just leave it at a default speed, unless its a very hot day.

Here's links to each of them

    NZXT Sentry LX
    http://www.nzxt.com/products/sentry_lx/

Also, I'm set on getting the first Antec 900 not the 900 two.

Thanks for taking the time to look at this for me.

Replace the fans for 3-pin ones. Fans with a 4-pin molex connector (I assume this is what they have) don't have a connection for fan rpm feedback which the NZXT controller can display by the looks of it.

Fans aren't that expensive and you would get full functionality of the NZXT. With adapters the NZXT would probably still work but not to it's full extent.

This isn't based on ever seeing the NZXT or the Antec 900 so I may be wrong but I doubt it.

Why are you picking the 900 over the 902 ? I use the Sentry LX in both of my systems, their great, controllers

We did a review on the Sentry LX: http://www.pureoverclock.com/review.php?id=728

    Agreed, go with 3-pin fans.

Put your specs in your Control Panel buburuza, what have you got for a case, etc? Don't feel bad, one of my "cases" is a motherboard box on a half-height shelf with wheels on the bottom LOL. It's pretty ghetto but it gives me tons of room to swap parts really quick and easy
