    Default FT02 Warning

I just had my dream machine built.
    Silverstone FT02 Black
    WD 500gb Black
    Kingston SSD Now 128gb
    Asus P5X58D E
    Asus 5850 Top
    Kingston 12 GB of memory
    Windows 7 Professional
    Intel 930

No overclocking needed at this time. Too much to learn about before playing.

    Now the warning
The FT02 has one drive available for HOTSWAP. The problem is the WD does not line up the the
connectors. There was nothing in the documentation that indicated which drives connect properly.

all drives should be built to the same spec, maybe it is just out of place.

No need for the SSD in this club. I will gladly take it off your hands for lets say... $20.... Nice system BTW.

Chuck, there is some kind of problem with the way that hot-swap is installed. Trust me they will line up will all the drives I have which is several, from Velociraptor to whatevers.

You can undo the tow screws on the mount on the back side of the drive cage and re-align it and try again.

You can also buy all the additional hot swap devises you need, several places have them on line for less than 10.00.

I installed a few extras in my SilverStone FT02.

I ended up having to mod my VelociRaptors to mount horizontal for the same reason: The drive is like 2mm too large to fit right in the bays. It's a problem with WD, not the FT02.
