In a word yes, as will any fan controller.

I bought 7 Scythe Gentle Typhoon AP-30 for my new build. And after installing and testing 6 of them today the noise was really loud.
So Im looking for a fan controller to handle the noise. I found the Kaze Q8 8-Channel Fan Controller .
Info about the fancontroller:
Voltage Range: 5 V (±10%) - 12 V (±10%)
Output Ampere: max. 1 Ampere
Info about the fans:
Rated Voltage: 12V
Starting Current: 1.35A
Rated Current: 0.56A
So my question is simple, will this work with the fans?

If that 1 amp rating is per channel then provided you start the fans at full speed you might get away with it . The greatest strain on a controller is when it is reducing the speed to around half.
Prior to buying try running these at 5v (you can get this from a molex) or 7v (same on some psu's between the 5v and 12v)
If you think you might run these all at the same speed consider a rheostat instead

Six Gentle Typhoons? I wholeheartedly recommend the Aquaero 5.0 fan controller, with the optional waterblock.
You can't go wrong.

@grumpydaddy: Thanks for the reply, but I want to controll the fans by themselves
@Earthmonger: I've looked at those setups before, but it cost abit too much for my taste, and it only controlls 4 fans.
@Lil' ˝ Dead: I found something similar in a onlineshop in Norway.

Gonna go for this one as it has 8 channels, just hope it's a quality product.
Thanks for all the replies, always an answer a short time after posting here.![]()
With the optional WaCo block, the Aquaero 5.0 can dish out like a bajillion watts. That post was a joke though. It's like using a house to hit a nail.
For simple fan control, I prefer a Scythe KazeQ, mounted discretely. Cheap and efficient. Do you really need to control all six fans independently?

We have a review that should be published this week with 3 fan controllers from Lamptron, once that review has been published they will be sending their latest controller to Pure OC for review.

I didn't know Scythe made any in silver.
Unless you're watercooling, the Aquaero is serious overkill.
