Default 120mm Case fans for Corsair H-60

Okay here is my question, hopefully someone can help out. I have a Corsair H-60 cooling unit, for some odd reason the 2 Scythe case fans I had in a Push/ Pull configuration both died, the unit however might and might not be good, however I am getting another anyway. My conundrum is now what case fans do I buy, the Scythe fans were very loud. I have been told by an expert in cooling that I need fans that are at least 80CFM. There is really not much to choose from, my motherboard has a 4 pin connector but I know you can use a 3 pin, but alot of these fan come with 3pin to 4pin adapters. So what do you think of this one. Please feel free to tell me what you are using.

These are a whole lot (hellofalot) quieter that the ones that you linked to.

Not sure if you need 80 CFM though.

I'm using these fans with an H60 in a push/pull configuration and my i7-2600K is running nice and cool all of the time. They seem to develop a lot of static pressure through the radiator.

Thanks Neil but I should have also mention that the cooling guru told me that they had to be between 1,500 and 2,000 RPMs. Those fans in your link are really nice, if the orange doesnt bother you LOL, Well, I was worried that my motherboard fan headers were bad, I just still cant understand how 2 fans can go dead at the same time but alas its true, I just tried a fan on the motherboard header and its fine so the fans are just dead. I know alot of people on this forum are using the H-60 or even bigger, please tell me what you are using and what your temps are under fulll load for 30 mins.

What were your previous Scythe model? Gentle Typhoons aren't all that loud... and don't usually die so soon...

The proper way to measure a fan's performance is by cleaving to the CFM rating. This is a measurement of how much air that they move.
Some fans have high RPM's and don't move a lot of (CFM's) air. Some move a lot of air at lower RPM's than others, and then some of them move a lot of air QUIETLY.
I look for the highest CFM rating that I can find, at the lowest dBA (noise) level. Any fan that works at under 20dBA is quiet. 20dBA is my limit on fan noise. If they move over 60 CFm of air, they're doing fine for your PC's cooling purposes.

Good luck in finding the one that you need.

I'm going to recommend Gentle Typhoons regardless of your previous experience with Scythe fans. They can't have been GTs.
    Go for the 1850rpm. http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/scge120mmsic2.html

Go ask your cooling guru for a second opinion on this specific choice.

I am sure he will chime in here when he gets around to it LOL> Thanks Earth. By the way it was the Scythe Gentle Typoons that died, the 1,850RPM model D1225C12B5AP-15. Both at once, it had to be something outside of the fans that caused them both to die, they were loud from the day I got them but I chaulked that up to the 1,850RRPMs.

I like the Enermax that Neil is using, but they are not 80CFM, @Neil, what is your temp playing games for 30 minute stretches, with 2600K, that is the same CPU I have in this build.

31-33c idle and 37-39c after gaming for a while. The system is built into a CoolerMaster HAF922 case and there are also three 200mm fans within it. The Enermax fans are in a push/pull configuration with the air being exhausted through the radiator & out the rear of the case. I use an ASUS GTX570 video card in it. The Enermax fans I linked to are more than adequate for cooling this CPU with an H60.

    And they are QUIET.

Thanks Neil, if I could get close to those temps while gaming for 30 to 60 minutes I would be very happy.

    I am using the Coolermaster
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835103060

They are only 69CFM but still push allot of air..

I am using the blue on my H100 and also on my H60.
I have the same ones but in red for my custom Waco set-up and never had any issues.

Very nice Solara2Xb , very good price also, I might order a few different pairs, for some reason I am always needing 1200mm case fans. LOL.
