Default Swiftech Apogee HD CPU Waterblock - Black

Swiftech Apogee HD CPU Waterblock - Black-sidewindercomputers_2187_55313020.jpg
just saw the new Swiftech Apogee HD, wondering about its performance according to the description flow rate has been improved and the most impressive thing about it is the 2 inlet ports making a total of 4 ports on a single waterblock?

Are we getting one for review? It looks like im gonna buy one to try but i just dislike the pin matrix design from swiftech, it makes cleaning a pain.

yes we have one for review. As for performance it will be good as today's top blocks.
It has only one inlet port and 3 outlets, it lets you to do paralleled tubing. Swiftech is not going to walk away from the pin-matrix, it is their trademark just like EK and Koolance stays with fins channels and XSPC will modify whoever designs to give their block best performance.

I wonder why do you need to have 3 outlets to do parallel tubing, how is that supposed to work? If thats the case i can use 2 outlets, 1 to my GPU and the other outlet back to my reservoir ? how is that going to help in terms of improving flow rate?

yes, parallel the tubes to GPU or RAM whatever, this will maintain the flow rate from the Apogee HD to the next blocks. If the HD is really restrictive then the flow will drop if you put it in series. However, if you doing parallel setup, I would recommend to go with 35X pump or at least MCP355 because these pump have more head pressure, they are more suitable for this type of setup.

if you parallel the GPU and RAM, then these both block will have the same flow rate, no flow drops like your current setup because the last block is always receive less flow than any blocks before it.

Excellent stuff, really curious to know its flow rate since it can support parallel flow, especially when I'm using MCP35X it should be pretty compatible, at the same time i was also thinking about removing my Ram block to see if it improves my temps any better

Once Tony's done with it, I have to test it on the 3960X & 3930K and see how well it cools the new chips, the 3960X runs a hell of a lot warmer then the 980X or 990X

You are totally compatible; the new 320 Edge kit from Swiftech featuring this new block comes with the RAD with Res and the MCP35X pump. So go for it, mine arrived yesterday and it comes with the mounting for the LGA2011 boards as well as the old school stuff.

I wonder if I could use that on my Rampage 111 Extreme ( LGA 1366) board. I have a Swiftech right now on it, the Swiftect H20-330 Edge Kit, its the block that came with it. I wonder if I could change out the block thats on it now and put that gold one on it?

Sharks!!! i just ordered mine!!! hahaha anyway the gold looks abit odd and i dont think i stand a chance to have 1 of those! I think they will be reserved for their "preferred" vendors, unless our dear Dr D has the connection can get one of it for PureOC review
