I see you took the block apart but did you put it back exactly where it was?
If you don't, you will get worse result but you wouldn't notice unless you do the comparison test.
see the two small holes in the corner (not the screw's hole)? This is where the inlet port should sit on, if you look at the bottom housing it has a small hole beside the inlet hole so you can match these hole together.

Here's mine mounted, I can't use tubing yet, I'm waiting for the FrozenQ Res/Pump, tubing and fittings, also a 32GB kit from Corsair:
