    Default New WC setup

Well, it's about time I get some new gear so I figured I would stop here and get some opinions because you guys know your stuff. Well, here goes.

Radiator: Aquacomputer airplex modularity system 360, copper, single circuit.
Pump: Swiftech MCP35X2. I'm choosing a dual pump just to have the added head room if needed later on.
Reservoir: EK multioption x2 250 advanced.
    CPU Block: Swiftech Apogee HD.
Motherboard: EK full cover for the RE4. Acetal and copper.
Video: I have an msi gtx580 lightning extreme. The temps are pretty good with the stock cooler but If I do go with a block it would be a Bitspower full cover block.
    Fittings: Monsoon compression.
Tubing: Either some colored fesser or tygon. 1/2ID-3/4OD
Case: I'm looking at the Magnum TH10 by Case Labs.

Hopefully I'm not leaving anything out. Thanks a lot and I look forward to your input.

Full cover waterblocks are not needed unless you plan on extreme cooling such as Dice or LN2. It's all eye candy now west.

The only reason I was thinking of it is because I've heard that the fan on the R4E is load and anoying.

I reviewed the board. You cannot hear it. It is a 40mm fan. Wherever you read that they are not the sharpest pencil in the stack. 40mm fans do not have many db and are not noisy.

You'll be adding more but the the one thing I'd research is the tubing.

Have had trouble in the past with Tygon and plasticizers with clear tubing.
Figure if colored would still be there also just not as noticable.

    YMMV

I didn't see you mention about coolant additives?

AMS is a kiss-a$$ rad but pretty restrictive, however the MCP35X2 will compensate the flow. BP has good reputation in fittings but I'm unsure about their blocks. I never have a chance to exam their blocks but have seen the design is very simple.

Apogee HD is a good block but if high flow is your main concern then you should look at Raystorm or DD M6 block.

If you use colored coolant then all tubes will stained eventually.

Apogee HD is a good block but if high flow is your main concern then you should look at Raystorm or DD M6 block.

If you use colored coolant then all tubes will stained eventually.
I'm a bit confused in your response. You say AMS for the rad, what company are you referring to? Also you are referring to Bitspower fittings, I was planning on getting monsoon compression ones. If you were thinking about the vga block I was thinking about then that's okay because they are the only company that makes one for that card. This is now raising concerns within my own head. Perhaps this setup is incorrect.

    AMS is Airplex Modularity System....doh

Straight answer, BP has no reputation in GPU block design and yes only them make block for the GTX580 lighting, therefore you have no choice to go with them. There's nothing wrong with your setup plan, I just providing you some information to think about it.

PC User; why did you say DT 5 NOZ is better? Martin's test only show its best flow but thermal performance has no comparison with any other blocks. You don't know if it is top of the pack or not? He just got his new X79 system and the DT 5 NOZ is his second block tested on the 3930k beside Raystorm copper top.

So the DT 5 is about 1°c and it's cost $94, it's not even copper top or nickel plated. That's about $30 more for 1c if you compare to the standard Raystorm.

The rad is more restricted because of the tubes right? Mainly I'm trying to find the best parts available that will work well together.
