    Default Reservoir orientation

    I am slowly getting parts through the door for my Bitfenix Prodigy build (Check PC specs if intrested).

    Unfortunately, due to the limited amount of space - And the fact that I need to take pump/reservoir placement into consideration I ran into a slight snack.

    There is ROUGHLY 160/170 mm (Heard conflicting things) from motherboard to roof.
    The Apogee Drive II is 62 mm high.
    The Alphacool NexXxos ST30 is 30 mm thick.
    Fans 25 mm thick.

    Height from Radiator -> Apogee = 43/53mm.

    This makes it .. Urgh I hate the word .. impossible to mount a res. in the normal vertical orientation and still above the pump.

    Horizontal orientation comes to mind. But I never done this - Is it just a matter of filling up the res like you would normally do. Seal it up when its all done and then mount it up horizontal ?

    Anyone know a good res for horizontal mounting ?

    If all else fails, guess there are the external option - Though would rather NOT have to do this.

    The Swiftech microres is perfect. It does not take a lot of size, easy to install and cheap. it's under $30.

    Swiftech MCRES Micro Revision 2 reservoir

    Micro Rez and way above the pump.
    Just had to build an Aluminum bracket.

    Feeds and bleeds great.

    Working on a "model" using the Yenka software (Perfect for planning out a build, so simple!).

    Will post as soon as its done - MIGHT be able to fit an X2 res in there, but time will tell.

    That Micro res looks awesome by the way - ordered one, it could be used in so many ways!
