Default Need Help on cpu coolers!

I need to get another cpu cooler for my amd 975be, but I don't know what to get.
My budget is around $50, right now the Thermaltake CLW0215 Water 2.0 Performer
is on sale for $60 plus $10 rebate so $50 at the end.
Should i go with it or if you have any suggestions please let me know.

    Thank You for any help

The performer is a good unit. We reviewed it. You may want to hold on and see what other members have laying around that they'll sell you within your budget.

Have not tried the Themaltake or the Zalman mentioned in the above posts .. but the Cooler Master TPC 812 works very well for an air cooler in that price range.

    Hey Yes!Asian!,
If i were you i would go with the TT Water 2.0, for $50 i dont think you will find an air cooler that can compare.

I reviewed a slew of coolers for AMD platform and I would suggest the Deepcool Frostwin. No cooler comes close for $40

The Deepcool Frostwin looks pretty good compare to d14 but can't seem to find it anywhere
And about the 2.0 performer, it only has 1 year warranty, is that too risky for a closed loop water cooler?

That frontwin Jim posted is a good cooler...
Also the TT thermaltake performer is a good once also...

Most closed loop system have a 1 yr warranty so its not to diff from allot of the other major brands..
For $50 its a good deal...

I have a couple of the Corsair H60's from when they first released and till this day I am still using them..

Well most of the stuff we buy are good for at least 1 year, its after that period.
The H60 has 5 yrs warranty and the antec 620 has 3 yrs warranty compare to 1 year......
I don't want to have the risk of leaking and end up paying for my equipments on my own.
I am still in college so money is tight.....

If warranty is important to you I suggest maybe looking into Corsair or even Antec, The Antec 620 isn't bad in pricing.
However the TT kits are made by Asetek, which is a reliable company and I haven't seen there products fail.

IMO for a sub $50 product you can't go wrong, But you are right when there is some risk involved. However I have not seem to many closed loops system leak. The ones that do are normally user error and they do something to cooler that they are not suppose to.

Aircoolers can do the same job run about the same amount of money plus some depending on the cooler with the risk you are talking about.
PM Jim (DrDeath) to see if he has any coolers available he can help you out on.

I am sure he can get you a good deal on one..

Asetek makes Corsair's water coolers too. I'm still using an old Asetek LCLC (low cost liquid cooler) and that thing was one of the very first Water coolers made. I also have a Corsair H50, two H60s, and an H80 here. All still work great and none have ever leaked.

Yup, Like Neil said.. the Older Corsair coolers where made my Asetek just like the new TT Performer is...
The newer model of corsairs line is made by a company coolit, Were talking about the H60, H80 and H100..

The H60 is a good cooler for right around $60 bucks. Also like you mentioned comes with the 5 year warranty.
I have 2 of these and they are both great!

Only thing that can go wrong on a cooler is the fans. I would not focus on warranty to tell you the truth. If you cannot find the Frostwin look at the TT Frio
