H-100 would be easy to do, and will cost less. It's cooling job is sufficient, but you cannot add additional components to it later on, such as GPU cooling. (it is what is known as a closed loop system) It is what it is and will stay the same. It requires no service other than keeping the fans and radiator free of dust.
The only modification you can do to it is to add two more fans for a push/pull configuration, or change the fans entirely for better than stock cooling performance.
Closed loop is what I prefer for myself at this point.
    ____________________________________

Custom Water costs more, is more work, and cools much better.
You choose the pump, the fittings, the tubing, the radiator, and water storage reservoir and build it yourself. You configure all of the parts to fit inside your case and then you plumb all of the parts together with the tubing.
You test it for leaks, you supply certain additives to the water to prevent corrosion, and eliminate all of the air bubbles, and you change the fluid in the system if it becomes cloudy. It's like your baby, and you have to care properly for it. LOL!
You can add more components to the loop as you see fit. But you have to have the proper sized reservoir installed and your pump needs to be powerful enough to push the extra fluid through the new loop that you build.
This way is much more work and costlier, but if you can do it without screwing up, it's very satisfying too.

That's all I know about it.

That's a very good analysis Neil. My vote is for custom water. Get an EX360 rad and XSPC's D5 res pump combo. You won't be sorry.

You can by a EX360 Rad for under $60 and also a XSPC Dual Bay Pump/Res for about the same price, so your defiantly better off going to custom water

XSPC is prob the best bang for the buck. I like Thermalchill product but its pricey.

Depending on what you are trying to achieve both kind of set-ups have is benefits and drawbacks...
What is your goal for going water???

Are you OCing??? Trying to keep the system Quiet???

before we all start making recommendation I think thats a important question to ask first...

But custom watercooling does have allot more advantages...

    - I guess sometimes all it take is asking the right questions...
But yea, going custom water will be a good route to take..

I think you can fit a triple Rad without any problems...
The Thermachill rad are good, also the EX series (which I personally like) or even the Black Ice GT series are good...
If you don't have a tight budget get some compression fitting, but Barbs will work as well if budget is tight. Compression fittings don't cost that much more however.

Tubing I personally like to use 1/2" ID and 3/4" OD, but I also have used 1/2" ID with 5/8" OD, the popular one is 7/16" ID with 5/8" OD over 1/2" Barb fitting... I do this on my benches and don't need to have clamps, the tubing is tight aroundthe 1/2" ID fittings as it is.... The small tubing the easier to route. Thermal wise you won't notive a big difference.

Pump, I would personally recommend the XSPC res with the D5 (MCP655), that pump is awesome and can handle some abuse and has good long tern useage.. The XSPC X20 750 is another pump, but I feel this pump is a little weak and if you plan on getting GPU blocks later you may want need to upgrade the pump, but I would just do it right the first time.. Also the MCP 355, 35x pumps are good also... but these have a higher failure rate due to heat..

    Tons of options out there...

Waco is fun to do and once you do one you will be hooked. Not hard at all, just follow Detons instructions in the Cooling thread. Good Luck and have fun.
