Tubing Issue

Hi all,

So since my last post I went ahead and rebuilt everything with a new EK Nickel block as I had rma'd it, and switched over to using Mayhem's X1 clear/uv blue. Everything has been running well for approximately 4 months. The one thing that I just noticed that concerns me, is that the primochill uv blue tubing that runs from my pump to my reservoir appears to be cracking internally, at least it appears that way. Looks kinda like a spider web. The tubing isnt brittle or hard and it's the only tube in my system that exhibits this visual oddity. I'm thinking it may be plasticizers but I cannot say for certain so I was wondering if anyone had any idea what this may be and additional if it something I should be concerned about? Temps have been right around where they should be, water is crystal clear and all the rest of the tubing appears normal. Please feel free to bounce some ideas off of me if you have any.

Photos will help, I did have plasticizers with some of the Primochill tubing I got a while back, then I changed it out for a diff batch and haven't had problems sense.. Athough there is still some plasticizers, it just didn't form as fast and as thick.

Its going to happen to all tubing, just some faster then others. But it shouldn't effect the flow rate from what I have learned. I am using just distilled water with PT Nuke and silver coil.

I just ran across your post while browsing the PureOCN forums as i do regularly.If you believe its a tubing issue please don't hesitate to contact our support team in the link below.They are a really great team and will do there best to help you resolve the issue.But the situation does sound odd like you said as its only in one area.I dont want to try to guess the problem or anything like that i would rather let the Support team help you out as the have Chemists and Labs that can solve the issue.I can however recommend not running the loop with the cracked tubing till its resolved,But you probably already know that also .

But yeah in all honesty contact support by putting in a Ticket if you do think there is a tubing problem and PM me when you do and i will make a note of it to get it handled faster.

Hope i was of some assistance to you and please let me know how things turn out.

Yea, that doesn't look normal at all. I didn't have that problem with mine.
Contact Primochill support and see what they can do for you.

Your welcome ! He's a god guy and will help you in he can, but please stop using the cracked tubing asap, you do not want to take a chance of getting a leak.

Yeah I know, I just want a loop that works. Feel like I've spent more time tearing down and rebuilding this rig that I have using it. Can't catch a break, ha.

It's not plasticized, it's look cracks to me.
I have couple questions;
why did your RMA the block?
what type of coolant are you using?

hmmm....flaking issues still exist huh...I do have some EK blocks but never experience the problem.
oops it's my bad, didn't see you post the mayhems coolant. I thought you were using PT nuke or something like that.
Well, it's must be a bad batch of tubing then.

I'm almost starting to wonder if it is a pressure deal, like restriction + running pump to high. Luckily I have enough tubing to make another go at it in a couple of days, may try turning the pump down a lil. Either way you guys are awesome when it comes to helping a noobie like myself.
