Stan, if you see this, the EK kit is a little too much money IMO.
What do you guys think about the Swiftech H2O-220 Compact??? Is this kit any good or should I look at an XSPC kit instead?

It is, but there are so many damn kits I am so confused!! That particular kit is out of stock as of today and I got thinking about the maintenance. $180 is a lot to me so I want to absolutely love it. I am worried that I might end up damaging the kit. What are all those additives you can buy? So many different types of coolant. AGHHHH!!!!!!![]()

I've had a great experience with my XSPC kit. Haven't tried anything from Swiftech so I can't really compare. If you go with an XSPC kit, make sure you get one with the D5 Vario pump/res. For 240mm kits, I recommend this one: RayStorm D5 EX240 WaterCooling Kit | XSPC. Even comes with compression fittings.

Don't use coolants. Use distilled water with silver coil and and an anti-biocide additive like deadwater. This kit from Frozen CPU comes with everything you need, except silver coil, which is only about $5 or so. Save up longer then. Don't go cheap with a waco set up. You will be sorry. Get a kit that is actually worth having because it will be with you through multiple builds that way. This particular kit may appear to be expensive, but you get a lot with it - awesome D5 pump that can handle more components in a loop down the road, compression fittings, and even decent fans. I haven't seen many kits that come with this much top shelf stuff that are under $200.

Thank you, Stan and Sam! I really appreciate the advice! I'll wait a while and go full on WC! If I'm going to be spending so much, I want to build my own and say screw the kit! I will definitely need your help with that! But until then, expect annoying, pointless nub posts!![]()
