    Default Rigid Tubing

Hey all, Does anyone here have experience with Rigid Tubing? I'd like to add it my SM8 build but have no know how in this area. I do know that E22 Tubing is used with Bits "C" fittings but I was looking at that new Primochill Rigid Tubing as an alternative. Thank in advance.

ah...I don't think both tubing has the same diameter. Primochill listed as 1/2'', that is 12.7mm, if that is correct then you cannot use any other fitting except their own fittings.

I've heard that plasticizer or dye is not a problem with acrylic tube so that's a good thing. The Primochill comes in 15 colors so a guy wouldn't need dye but the E22 only comes in clear. I'm running distilled and a protector in the loop and would prefer to stay away from the whole dye thing. Maybe one day I'll grow some cahones and try some type of dye out...lol. Both kinds of tubing are totally bendable so if a guy didn't want to use any angle fittings you could get away with that also.

For sure, sorry I didn't mean to imply they are interchangeable. Bits fittings for the E22 and Primochills fittings for their own tube.

I have been running distilled plus PT Nuke with Mayhem's blue dye about 5 drops of the dye to approximately 2 liters of water for 6 months
with no staining issues in my res or lines so far.

I am seriously thinking of going with the hard tubing on my next build and will probably go with a color this time, and just run straight distilled water.
I like what I see so far from Primochill the fittings and tubing look to be top notch
I like the outer O-ring method they are using over the other types of fittings.
Looks like the bending methods are the same for both, I am very excited and cant wait to try it
its just so much cleaner looking then the standard tubing.

Thanks for the reply vinman, I've no experience with dyes but holy smokes that Mayhem must be some kinda dye to color 2L of water with 5 drops. I had no idea that stuff was that concentrated. I'm a little excited to see how the Primochill Rigid works as well. The fittings are a little big in diameter compared to the tube but hey, I can get past that. I know a few guys who have gone the E22 route in their builds with the BP fittings and it looks great. I just want to try something new. From what I understand you can get an inch bend out of the stuff so that should take care of any angle fittings, pretty much straight tube to the ports. I've got a double bend in the back upper corner so we'll have to see how that turns out...lol. Like you say the seal Primochill has utilized looks good and shouldn't cause any problems. I'm waitin' on an email from PPCs as to when its gonna be in stock.

I'm waitin' on an email from PPCs as to when its gonna be in stock.<img title="rock" class="inlineimg" alt="" src="http://forums.pureoverclock.com/images/smilies/buttrock.gif" border="0" smilieid="23">
