    Smile 900D Dream Build

    Hi all.
Im just in the process of getting my parts for my dream build.
    Parts so far...
    Corsair 900D
    Asus Z87 Maximus Formula(when released)
    32gb Kingston HperbeastX 2400mhz
    LG 27"EA83 2560x1440p led
    512mb Samsung 840pro
    256mb Plextor M5pro
    3 x 4Tb Western digital hardrives
    Corsair K95 keyboard
    R.A.T 9 Mouse
    Corsair SP2500 Speakers
    Pioneer bdxl burner
    LG Ihas Burner
Corsair AX1200i psu Plus Red braided psu cable set

As this is my first water cooling rig...i want it to be the best it can be (money no object).
I would like help and advice with my custom loop.
I want to use bits power compression fittings, but i hate tubing all over the place, the build has to neat and futuristic looking,if you catch my drift.

I would probably use a Phobya 250mm or 450mm ballancer res...a 655 pump and top plus all the fittings to go with the black nickle finish of the phobya res.

Tubing has to be ultra clear,as i want to use red coolant.
I would app any ideas or parts i should use to get the perfect rig.
I would be using a 360 rad at the top and a 480 rad for the bottom.
All using corsair SP120 quite fans on a fan controller either pull or push pull combination.
I dont want to rip the case apart modding.

So i would app some help and design ideas on the folowing

    Rads
    Fittings
    Tubing
    Coolant
    Pump and pump fittings
    Mounting ideas....pump
    Fan controller

Plus any expert ideas from you guys.

    Thanx

What do you plan on using for GPUs ? I'm currently working on three 900D builds, the 3rd build is currently being custom painted with artwork. EK water blocks sponsored this build, and sent me close to $1200 in water cooling hardware. I'll be using a X79 Extreme 9 mobo with 64GBs of Kingston Beast 2133MHz, two EVGA GTX690s configured in Quad SLI , and dual 240GB SSDs set up in RAID 0. The 1st build will have another X79 board, and dual GTX 780s, 64GBs of memory, 360Rad, but I'll only be cooling the CPU. The 2nd build will be a Z87 system, 4770K, dual GTX770s, 32GBs memory. All 3 builds will have PSU's ranging from 1200W to 1600W. If I can help you in any way, send me a PM.

I always use 1/2" ID x 3/4" OD, I like the looks of the larger tubing, also make sure you go with compression fittings. Good choice on the 780s, even the 770s would work great and save you a couple of hundred dollars. If you need a 1200W or larger power supply, send me a PM I have at least 5-6 new units sitting here. Thanks

Why having Obsidian 900d, if you don't plan to install the top notch components and a good LCS, it just calling for this.

    Default Re: 900D Dream Build

    Hi
Just an update to my rig.
    Ive just bought .
Ut60 480 alphacool rad for bottom and a ut45 360 alphacool rad for top.
    D655 pump x2 and 2 ek tops
14 corsair sp120 fans quiet edition
2 gtx 780 hydro copper cards for sli
    Aquerro fan .temp monitor
red monsoon fittings 12/ 34 size
    primochill advanced black onyx tubing
primochill advanced bloodshed red tubing....i cannot decide
phobya balancer 250 res black nickle
    2x red leds
    monsoon temp sensors

would the 2 rads be enogh for 2 gtx 780s and 4770k......not extreme overclocks.
i need the bays for my optical bluray and fan/temp monitor.
so the 360 45mm rad has to be up top.
and the 60mm 480 rad at the bottom front.
any ideas on what works best for connecting the sli hydros.
i cannot usevthe EK bridge......what would be the best way to do this.
also ...what rad would you use push pull with or just pull.
I might put another small rad at the reverse side of the case if the others are not up to the task....
the 2 dt 655 pumps should be ok for the 900d due to gravity.

the pumps fitting is going to be a pain in the arse....why corsair dont make a seating panel for these....i dont know.

Also got some 90 and 40° monsoon fittings in black ....
