    Default I sprung a leak

I assumed the D5 pump was attached to the res when I installed it. Good thing only the pump was powered. A couple of my HDDs got wet.

Default Re: I sprung a leak

Just a few drops on the top of my HDD and a little on one of my SSDs. That's why I only had the pump powered up so if there was any leaks I wouldn't have any major damage. 2 hours in now and not another leak in sight.

You suppose to check every fitting, pump, res or anything else before you fill system. Assume nothing. You only suppose to have pump running for 24hr leak test using the psu jumper that comes with waco kit. Last thing. Alway place towels or lots of paper towels over psu, gpu, hdd or any other component that could get wet if there is a leak.

Have to take your time and do it right so there are no worries on leaks.

For those nervous about going with water, once you get into it you'll be alright. Paper towels on everything.. even if you get a few drips its fine paper towel it, as long as you've only powered the pump and have no current to anything else water doesn't matter, just mop it up. Just have all non essential pieces of gear in your case, set your loop up and slowly fill your res then turn your pump on stop it, fill up rinse repeat.

Paper towels on everything. Even if it does leak just quickly shut off your powersupply, grab some paper towels and cover up the leak. turn your case if you have to stop water leaking from a particular direction. Water isn't your enemy while the system is off, only if its on. So don't stress.

Benefits of water outweigh that initial 2 hour period of set up and leak testing. THen you just let it run over night with it all set up and in the morning bubbles should be cleared, shake your case a bit and then run some benchmarks or games get the water hot and that'll really remove the bubbles and you're all set.
