Default We all need these fans in our lives!

For many enthusiasts out there, Corsair's SP120 fans are among the most frequently purchased fans out there for numerous reasons; if you want good static pressure, reasonable pricing, constant sale pricing and an attractive build with the interchangeable color rings with excellent undervolting capabilities to get the noise down, these are usually the only way to go. Unfortunately they always lacked in one specific department: they don't come in an LED format!

Never let it be said that Corsair doesn't listen to its community: lo and behold, they now have not only SP120 LED fans, but SP140 LED fans as well! Coming in either Red, Blue, Green, Purple or White, you can now add some subtle case lighting to your rig without sacrificing performance in the process. They also spin at a relatively low 1650 RPM's, meaning these fans are likely based off of the Quiet Edition variant that many enthusiasts have come to know and love. Unfortunately they don't appear to be PWM, so if that is a requirement for your rig you might want to reconsider these fans, but most enthusiasts tend to either run their fans at a constant speed or use a dedicated fan speed controller anyway for the sake of cleaner cabling within their case. Corsair has announced that these fans will be available sometime next month and are presently listed on their web page.

I don't hate Corsair. They make some nice products. I have an Air 540, some memory and had some of their fans at one point. I am just not excited to see something that every manufacturer has been doing for a long time. Top of the line fans with color and led options. Great that it took them 3 years to put LEDs in sp120 and 140s. Lol I'm sure it took a huge team of engineers to figure it all out. Hahha

But I do agree with him, they are a little late in the game to have LED fans, but non the less, better late than never... Right now my 3 fav fans to use are Cougar, Corsair and eLoops. I really like the GT Ap15's but they are just so damn hard to find in stock.

Oh no doubt they're late to the game with LED fans, but static pressure optimized LED fans are another matter entirely. Those aren't too common apart from Enermax, Cougar and Bit Fenix, and of those brands I'd really only want to use Enermax or Cougar fans since the BitFenix units are a bit lacking in total airflow and pressure for my personal tastes.

Suck it Kenny. Stop lying to everyone. We know you use the budget 2.99 fans that sound like turbine engines.

Personally I miss the days where fans were affordable. $25-30 for a single fan is insane. Adding $200 or more to a build just to cover fans is ridiculous. Don't care how good static pressure supposed to be.

I'm love my Swiftech Helix fans (good static pressure, low noise, white fan blades, relatively cheep $11 with completely sleeved cables or $8 without).

    Always look beyond the limits...

Good point. I like the swiftech fans as well. Effective and cheaper.

fitted on a rad, helix vs anything else. Show me some huge difference in CPU, GPU cooling and Ill shut it. Static pressure blah blah blah. A 1 degree change isnt worth spending a lot of extra money.

Default Re: We all need these fans in our lives!

Swiftech makes good fans, I initially really like them, but of the 10 I have, 8 of them are now rattling as if the bearing was out. Fans weren't even 1 yr old yet. I can't RMA them since I had removed the swiftech sticker for a mod I did on a PC I built. The CM Jet flos are cool also, but are a little loud for my taste.
