    Hi Wolf welcome to PureOC!
Dr D has a TJ07 with a Boreas installed he will be here soon to respond to you

As far as i know i am using a TJ07 and the TJ07 needs some minor modifications to the 5.25 bay area to accommodate the Boreas

EDIT: my bad i thought you had a TJ07 i just realized it was a TJ09...

I had a TJ-10 myself (almost the same case) and often wondered if it would work. Let me put it this way, your best bet from the measurements I've taken is to mount it on the top of the case. I don't think it would fit in the drive bays. It might be possible with a lot of modding, but I am serious, you'd have to do a lot of modding to make it work.

Don't bother with the modding either.
It's definately not fit, you need at least 8.5" wide and TJ09 is less than 8.25" wide.

You have no choice is to install it out side of the case or get TJ07 or ATCS 840, they will fit but modding needed.

It would work with the TJ-09, but the fans would definitely have to be on the outside with fan shrouds. It would just be a really tight fit, and wouldn't have much room to take in air from the sides. You'd just have to build extensions to fit up to the fans (hope that makes sense). Basically, you'd need to have a way to funnel the air from the Boreas's heatsink to the fans. You'd also have to make new side panels because of the positioning of the vents on the TJ-09.

Like I said, its possible, but there's a lot of modding involved, and not really worth it unless you are just trying to do something original and go for the glory of trying to get into "milliondollarpcs.com" showcase. So, unless you are going for a show build, then I'd advise against it.

On the other hand, two Elites would fit in there, while hooked up to a dual 120mm radiator. It'd cost more money, but would cool better than a Boreas due to more TEC's. You'd still need to make custom side panels for it, though.

I just noticed you had the TJ-09, you might be better off selling it if you really want to go with a Boreas Chiller. I own three of them, I love them, but I have to mod case's to fit them. Your going to need a case at least 9" wide. Email me when you have a chance.

and know a person thats a great sheet metal body man

I look forward to seeing Dr deaths pics and learn all i can from you guys about this system
I did think of installing it on the top outside of my Tj09 case but then it would block the exhaust of my radiator that i am running for my Gtx 275 vid card .

again thanks for the welcome and spending your valuable time helping out a new member and a noob!!!1

The width of TJ09 is a tad narrower than the Boreas, no matter what you mod like Dr. D the Boreas fan will stick out both side of the pannels.

Its might fit the length way if you remove the mid fan housing and HDD craddle but you do need to cut an opening in the front for exhausting.

Here is my idea if I have a Boreas; build an external box to put the Boreas in, the same length of the case and you use this as case stand, put some wheels on...etc.

    my thoughts are this :
Take the vents off both side covers, make a arcrylic 2 inch stand to mount the Boreas sideways .
Ofcoarse i will remove the hard drive bays and the fan that is there to cool the hard drives (that should give me plenty of room )
Now i know my fans will stick out about 1 inch on each side of the TJo9 case panels.

Next i was thinking of having a wire mesh type box made to fit over the fans on the outside of the case doors !!!

I think that will allow me to set it up basically as Dr Death has it in his TJ07!!!!

What do you guys think of this setup and would it work ?

We're a bunch of guys happy to help other PUREOC members, noob or not...btw welcome to PUREOC

You were saying that you know someone in metal work. So remove the stock side grills and design a fancy side vent scoop like the one you see with the sport cars that is fit into the opening. Event with the fans sticking out the vent will cover them, have the vent shape it 45 degree backward to exhaust the air out back of the case.

You can also replace 38mm stock fans with 25mm fans then you might have a tight fit, make new side fan grills that is protruded out more just enough to cover the fans.

Hope you can visualize my ideas.
