    Default Water cooling help

Ok I am about to start my first water cooling setup.

I need help I a total noob at this.

    My system is
    i7 950
    asus rampage II
    HD 5870
    800 D case

I want it to be powerful enough to handle 3 way crossfire at later date and I will in the end want to kit the mother board as well but that isn't 100% important atm as I don't plan to go mad with overclocking main reason for this atm is just to lower the noise somewhat.

my budget is 300-400 pounds and I live in the uk.

any help would be great Dan.

Hey Dan and welcome to PureOC.I will suggest what would be my choice.Swiftech Apogee Xt,Koolance 360 or Heatkiller Rev3 block for the cpu those 3 are the best imo.Koolance block for the gpu,Swiftech MCP655 pump,Feser 360 radiator. You can choose a reservoir of your choice the Ek res is my favorite you can put the res 250 in the obsidian case and look good. You will also need tubing lets say from Tygon, liquid and fittings or barbs.I think these will be in your bubget. You will definately need a second radiator if you want Crossfire x3 and motherboard on water and of course more cash. There are a lot of people here with more experience that i am sure will help you decide whats best.

Ok where do you get all your stuff from because this is problem for as well I only know 1 good retailer... Watercoolinguk and I am very worried about using any one who I don't know due to bad experience I had.

Also the 2nd rad I did think I might need it lucky there is some good modding guides on how to fit 2nd rad to 800D case in bottom if you remove the HD trays.

    Thank you.

I personaly don't mind paying for the shipping if it means I get the best parts for the job.

Also about the fittings what should I get size wise ? so much to pic from is it to match what tubing I am getting and if so what is best size of that to go for.

About the tubing i personally used 1/2 ID,3/4 OD.It has the best flow but its a bit hard to work with it.The most common is 3/8 ID 5/8 OD its a bit smaller but its easier to bend.Whatever tube you choose you get same diameter fittings.

Yea this is a great setup you dont need hose clamps except you go with barbs and not with compression fittings. You need 8 comp fittings and 2 clamps (for the pump except you modifie it)

At the Apogee XT and the radiator you have chosen barbs not compression fittings double check before ordering make sure everything is ok.
