lol thats if your comp would be fine..

Even if deionised water is non conductive, its still possible to break your hardware... happened with my beloved 7800GT

yeah can happen, my pump and rad are far away from the hardware, as long as the blocks are secure the rest can leak to 3 feet of light blue water for all i care lol.

all very intersesting but i like the idea of passive cooling - the fact that it just isnt as good:$ what i want is really cold cooling with no noise

ok here we go, some pics of my stuff, can't test yet... it takes quite a few hours to bleed this thing with a t-line!

So here's the giant you've all been hearing about:

No that's not an 80mm fan on there, it's 120mm Poor things had it rough in the shed, but no leaks so far.

My poor but reliable Hydor L30 looks quite upset now it's realized it's got to push 3 litres of water round that massive radiator again. Soon to be replace by a more modern DC pump (DD-2 or D5).

And here's my new D-tek Fuzion:

Here's what you ge in the box:

The contact surface is very good, no need to lap this sucker:

Right now i'm bleeding the system and checking for leaks, I'll post some more shots when i install the block on my X6800, and then post the new temps compared to those results for the zalman CNP9500.

I have to say, i really like the masterkleer 7/16" ID (5/8" OD) stuff i grabbed, i have used 12 feet in this loop. It is a tight fit around barbs but once it's on it really is secure. It's also the most transparent tubing i've ever had, good stuff.

It's good to be back (on water)

What's the max head height for the pump?

    Default results!

    What a mess

    All watercooling testing was done at 23c ambient temps - 320 x 11 (3520MHz) @ 1.45V.

To compare, here's the orthos load results from a Zalman CNP9500:

    Low fan speed 70 - 70
    Full fan speed: 63 - 63

    Now my watercooling results:

    Passive - No Fans
no fans on this one, just wanted to see how the temps were with absolutely no airflow on the rad.

    1 hour orthos prime: 59 59

    two 120mm Fans (no shroud)
Here i put two 120mm 50cfm fans right up against the rad (in the middle) just like in the picture of the rad in the previous post.

    1 hour orthos prime: 51 51

    two 120mm Fans (with shroud)
This morning i built a shroud that can take the two 120mm fans, this should improve cooling a little. I built it so that it can take 4 fans in the future, but for now two will do.

    1 hour orthos prime: 46 47

of course the pump is probably struggling with the rad, so with a decent pump upgrade things could be improved further, but i think it's pretty good considering.

Why bother with the slippers, just twinkle it with your toes. She will be happy and you will be warmer at the same time.
