Default OCing your 2600k and the P67 recall

First off I called Asus about the recall it is no big deal they told me my board is good and will probably remain that way for it life. Small possibility in 2-3 yrs you can loose your 3gb ports and like I said that don't come to play for 2-3 yrs if it even does. Asus will have new boards no longer than the end of April and everyone with a p67 chipset with Asus can do a free exchange! I am sure all manufacturers are doing the same. Intel realized their P67 chipset can loose the 3gb ports way down the line. So no biggie wait for a free exchange.

As for some clocking your 2600k I had a hard time getting my cpu to run stable at 4500mhz so I bumped it up to 4700mhz and have not done any testing yet but it is running real good for awhile now! If you have the same board and chip and want more settings that I have email me I will tell you what I have the settings at that is if your having any problems but I would try some higher frequencies with this awesome cpu! Smooookkkkiiinngggg fast! 4700mhz fast. Everything snaps open so fast the cpu eats its load up.

We already have a thread on this. I would RMA your board. They will replace it for free when the new chipset comes out. They are sayting 2-3 years but one of our members toasted multiple hard drives. The drives can be reformatted but I do not believe the 2-3 year thang.
