you still can use it but don't need to run it more than 10 minutes.

What kind of voltage you think I would need?
first you need to find out the multiplier wall, put the blck back to 100Mhz and start crank up the muti.

Regarding to Vcore, take a look at Rick screen shot. I think he has 1.60ish for 5.3Ghz or just increase 1 - 2 increments at a time.

this is why Nvidia & AMD has over voltage guard build-in the card to throtle down the card, like on for the GTX590.

    Hi All,

Anyone here using a Asrock fatal1ty p67 professional with 2600K ? Could you share the setting for the overclocking? I just got this MB+CPU and would love to join the 5Ghz Club.

Thanks for the sharing in advance

I am running that setup on one of my rigs. Start with the 4.8GHz Auto Preset in the BIOS. Make sure your chip can do that. From there you can increase the BCLK a bit to hit 5.0GHz or you can increase your CPU multiplier. Every chip is different though in terms of what multiplier it can hit.

But start with the Auto preset and see how that goes first, make sure your chip can do that.

How do you make sure the chip can do it? Not all 2600K will be able to overclock.
Also which is better? A 2133mhz ram with CL9 or 1666mhz ram with CL7.

The best way to discover is benchmarking both settings.

I think you mean 2133MHz and 1866MHz kits, not 1666MHz, I believe you would get better results overclocking their 1600MHz kit.

Ooppss, I thought I uploaded the temperature screen shot to a server but I didn't.

    AIDA64 is also report the temperature as following;
    CPU Package
    CPU IA
    CPU GT
    Core #1, 2, 3, 4

All these temperatures are consitence the same all across, they are not the same as Bloomfield's core temp is higher than CPU diode temp.

I will upload the screen shot later when I have a chance.

Deton i have similar problems , but CPU-z show me different voltage .

I thought for a moment I was looking at my AsRock Fatal1ty One Professional P67 reading, with the 12V reading 4V output in AIDA and the Bus speed at 99.8 instead of the 100 it should be. But like the idiot I am I thought my PSU was bad and replaced a 200.00 PSU with a brand new one. Same crap, I have a 2600K, you have the 2500K, its got to be the Motherboard. I am replacing mine . There are other inconsistant readings, all related to the P67 motherboards. It cant be the that all the Intel Chips are bad, this has been reported at many other places on the internet.

so your replacing hardware because of what software is telling you?
Have you checked for an update to the softwre alan when the thubans first came out aidia couldn't read squat properly, including what my mobo was.
Just a thought to save you some money.

Go into the BIOS and see what the voltages are there, they'll be more accurate than 3rd party software.

The BIOS reports them correctly, all voltages and BLCK readings, but then why do some peoples boards report correctly, and others report exactly like this. Try and OC this board and test it with LinX it will only pass at default, Prime 95 throws out a hardware error ( rounding) , its not right.

The BIOS reports them correctly, all voltages and BLCK readings, but then why do some peoples boards report correctly, and others report exactly like this. Try and OC this board and test it with LinX it will only pass at default, Prime 95 throws out a hardware error ( rounding) , its not right.

I put it on 4GHZ an do some test.. prime 95 still running..

Well, your board seems fine, its just the voltages that are reporting wrong, I have read everything from bad grounding to a bad motherboard can cause this, but the BLCK @ 100 and reported @ 99.8 on my board, even ast default doesnt work right. If I have my Multi set to 34 with the blck set to 100 in the bios, it should be @ 3,400GHz right? Well not on my board it reports 3393ghz , exactly what it should at 99.8 but its set to 100 in the BIOS. If I set it to 100.1 it will also work but at the specified 100.1. There is a setting for 100 but it is recognized by the board as 99.8. Other inconsistencies also, I cant OC my board to 4GHz without hardware failures. and thats just the beginning.

I updated to the most recent BIOS V1.84 beta. No difference. In reading about this problem on the internet it seems to have some to do with the motherboards not being grounded correctly. Please dont quote me, I am just telling you something I read. Maybe a more recent batch of these boards or a Z68 board with SSD caching will solve my problem, I dont need anymore than 4.4GHz.
