Have turned HT off temps after 10 minutes of prime 95 highest temp 62 degrees comapres to the 69/70 degrees of the same time frame with HT on,

    edit:
Have changed bios from 190 to 191 no BSoD ran for 2 hours i know its not long enough, will run it when i go to bed later,
max temps via core temp = 63,61,63,58

    Edit:
Ran Prime95 for 9.15 hours while sleeping
Max temps at 191 BLCK Freq 66,63,66,61 ( running temps were 60,56,61,59)

    Looking good,

Raise it a little at a time and just watch load temps.
Going to reach a point where you either bsod or temps get out of hand.

If bsod just up cpu v a little.
Your QPI v should be good to about 200 blck.

(Key) is to run the lowest voltage you can with a stable clock.

Morning, Hope all is well on your side of the world today

    Heres my settings

    CPU Voltage 1.30000 (PURPLE FONT)
    QPI/DRAM Voltage 1.28125 (YELLOW FONT)

    CPU BLCK 192
    CPU RATIO 21

DRAM BUS Voltage 1.65 (RED FONT)

The Colours next to the Voltages are in bios i imagine that the RED isnt the best, and PURPLE is getting close to max for the chip?

Im setting up prime now and have to go out again for a couple of hours so it can test

Don't worry about Dram setting color, Its fine and if it bothers you drop it to 1.64 rated voltage for your ram.
1.65 just gives you slight headroom.

My acceptable CPU voltage is 1.45 without any chip degradation over time.
(As Long) as temps are within my load parameters.
Alot of other people out there running voltages 24/7 higher than that with out any problems.

    JMO, Others may disagree.

The answer is no. CPU temps can go up even higher as long as load temps are under 75 and Dram voltage must be kept between .3V of QPI..... I would not go over 1.65V and your good to go.

Default Re: List of BIOS Info and Settings readout help

    ok thanks that makes sense

CPU temps can go up even higher as long as load temps are under 75 and Dram voltage must be kept between .3V of QPI..... I would not go over 1.65V and your good to go

Atm I have HT OFF, have I just got a average chip where I cant get it to run with HT ON at 4gigs? shes stable as atm 4.05gig 193x21.
BSoD with HT on about 15 minutes after p95 starts, is this because of to lower voltages?

On some of these chips I played with, found that would hit a wall to go any further.

But then a bigger increase in CPU v would get me there as to my target clock.

(With) acceptable loaded temp in mind.
1.30+v wouldn't surprize me in your case for 4.1+ with your cooling.

    I changed blck to 196 x 21
    CPU VOLT 1.30000
Changed QPI DRAM up from 1.28750 to 1.29375
    DRAM VOLT 1.65
    BSoD

have dropped BLCK back to 195 x 21
    =4.09

To get the same speed what would happen if i went 215 x 19, would that then effect voltages not worth trying?

my ram XMP Speed is rated at 1600, but understand i need a 200+ BLCK

3.7 with hyper threading ON better than 4.09 HT off?

looks like im not going to be able to get my ram running at spec

Leave the Multi alone and just keep raising the Cpu voltage.

    That's a loaded question

I run 1.38 thru 1.45 with my different saved profiles.

(Ambient) plays a big role in it and 24/7 comfortable temps.

Your on entry level water cooling so if can hit 4.1+ be happy with it, OR, If your catching the dreaded OC bug
