I believe that IB prochot activation is in excess of 100°. In fact I'm sure I read somewhere that 110° was mentioned

Max is not 75. The max Tcase is 68 but the Tcase runs about 10 degrees lower than cores. 75 is a overclocker rule of thumb to the safe side.

maestrobg I'm actually getting the exact same temps at your voltage of 1.185 I am able to overclock it using 1.1750 @ 4.5 or 1.170 @ 4.4 or 1.180 @ 4.6 The heat this produces is around 88C full load but it doesn't hold that level forever. It changes during Prime95 testing lowest was 70C. I am using 1.1750 @ 4.6 right now because I'm sure it is stable too but highest full load temp is 88C which to me makes no sense when everyone is overclocking theirs at 1.3 volts and getting the same results! I'm using a beast to cool as well this ZALMAN CNPS11X which did far better than the Hyper Evo 212 could. Anyways I believe the only way to cool this better would be using the H100 but it won't fit into my PC case. I am toying with the idea of buying an H80i or similar cooler but I'm not sure because I still cannot imagine it getting to levels of 1.300 @ 85C or whatever other reports I'm seeing show. Oh well!
