overclocking my new i7 3770k!?

hi everyone, my new components are: asus p8z77v-deluxe, i7 3770k, corsair h70, 2x4gb mushkin redline 1866mhz 1.5v and intel ssd 330 series 60gb.

i get stable 4500 mhz 45x100, at 1.185 v ht off and 12.v ht on and pll 1.8v!
my ram works stable at 2400 mhz at 1.7v 11-12-11-30-1T
power saving options are off, turbo off and speedtstep off, llc ultra high...

now, i think that this temperature ( 88c ) is high , according to low voltage of cpu - 1.185v !! am i right? i know that my h70 is not very good cooler but i also think that tamperatures at 1,185v shoul be lower!!??lower than 88 c? am i right??


now i have one question:

is it possible that these high temperatures of my cpu are because of that i am using iGPU, that produce couple of degrees more?


is it possible that my cpu temperatures will be lower when i buy gpu and set igpu to disable??

Is there software that came with the H70 you could use to speed up the fans?

man, i have fan controller on my nzx phantom case and my fans on h70 are scythe slipstream on 1900 rpm!

Maestrobg; 4500Mhz and 2400Mhz and no smoke? Sweet. I used to push the clock years ago
and this reminds me of the fun I had and why I was and still am a ASUS builder.
Overclocking is something I miss. Give me some time and I'll beef up and be spinnin the clocks with ya soon.

88 is way too high. Your probably surpassing max TCase temps and chip may degredate. Keep it under 75 under load.

you should thoroughly do some homework on the Ivy Bridge before you purchased it. The chip runs pretty hot even at low voltage, even Intel admitted the chip run hotter than Sandy Bridge.

Second, it's nothing wrong with the H70 but it just can't handle Oced Ivy Bridge, it's just the same as it can't handle overclocked Nahalem. No matter you use stock fans or replace it with faster one.

If you just purchased the 3770K it would be a good idea to return it and buy either a 2700K or 2600K both chips run much cooler even when overclocked.
