Phenom ii x4 955 OC @ 3.8Ghz ( first time overclocker )

Okay so this is my first time venturing out into the world of over clocking my CPU , and wanted some feedback from others that are more experienced. The Setup!!

- Asus Saberbooth 990fx
- Phenom ii x4 955 ( clocked 3.83 Ghz )
- Corsair H60 water cooler
- 8 GB corsair vengeance ( clocked 1452 MHz )
- Ocz agility 3 60gb ( running OS only )
- Western Digital green 1 TB
- Nvidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti SC
- 650w PSU
- everything cased in a CoolerMaster HAF 922

Now the fun details !
- CPU ratio 17.5
- CPU Bus. 218
- Memory frequency DDR3 1452MHz
- CPU offset voltage 1.452v

I ran prime95 for about 20mins just to check temps/stability and all 4 cores stayed under 45c , I'm planning on running prime95 for a full run of 12 hours after I receive some feedback from this post to make sure I don't burn/blow anything up lol

Welcome to Pure OC carlos.......Overclock with multi before FSB. Disable Turbo, C1E and C6 along with cool n qiet. Increase vcore. Take it to 1.5volts and see what multi you can get stable. You should be able to get 4.2-4.8GHz depending on luck of the chip

Keep this thread as your log. Post any changes you make. Also Asus has a screen shot function in the bios. Out a USB drive in and hit F12 and the screen shot saves to the USB drive. Take shots of the main adjustment page awith volyages and your pstates and post them here. Uplaod them to Photobucket or imageshack and post the impage code

wow 4.8 with a 955? i never heard that before. i thought the max was usually around 4.2 on these chips. i have mine at 4ghz now at 1.4v but with this new cooler i can probably go higher but im good for now. i might see if how far i can go later.
