Default FX-8350 Overclocking and Benchmark Thread

I'm starting this thread so all of us AMD guys can collect our overclocking and benchmark results for the FX-8350. I'll start.

Here's a photo of my new chip in its fancy tin:

I flashed the bios on my Crosshair V Formula motherboard to the most recent version and installed the chip last night. Ran it at stock setting for about 5 minutes to make sure it was stable and went right into bios to overclock. Selected the "Enable Extreme Overclocking" setting in my bios, increased the multiplier to 22.5, tightened up the RAM timings to 9-9-9-24-33-1T, and bumped the vcore to 1.4 volts. Left everything else at stock settings. The chip is now humming along in Prime95 at 4.5GHz. No errors so far and it's been about an hour. Max temp thus far is 47 degrees Celsius. I'll post a screen shot when I'm done running prime. And I'll put up some benchmarks too. So far I'm pretty impressed with this chip. The overall responsiveness of my system is noticeably improved compared to my 8120 and overclocking is a breeze.

Looking forward to everyone else's results as more of us get this chip.

I need to run prime longer to ensure stability, but this is a good start:

Note that the settings are not on default for Heaven 3.0.

These scores are not good. Something is wrong with my SSD. Maybe I need to update the firmware?

    Done!

Ill post some of my benchmarks once I am a little better, I've been a little under the weather so I have been trying to rest as much as I can.. Haven't done much in front of the computer lately.

Also FYI - I haven't had a chance to mail your package yet, I have it packed and all ready to go. Ill try to do it today if not by tomorrow.

BTW - Your scores all look about right, with the exception of the SSD.. those are really low for your drive..

Thanks Kenny. Hope you feel better soon! Don't worry about rushing the package to me. I'm still waiting on some fans so I won't be able to install it until next Monday at the very soonest. Get feeling better first.

Don't know what's up with my SSD. Maybe a firmware update? I'm using the current SATA drivers so I just don't know.

Thanks! Yea, having to work while still sick just puts most strain, but can't miss any work right now.. Dec-Mar is our busy season...
Check the manufacture website to see if there is any update to firmwares...

That would probably be the best way...

Nice scores Sam. Have to say that all of the reviews I've seen have been positive on this CPU.
I'm saving for one of them now. Might take a while, but I'll get one.

It's been a very long time since I built a AMD rig, I'm glad I have an extra chiller left, I've never used on on a AMD chip before.

Here are some benchmarks of mine own..
I don't have pics of the rig put together just yet, but I will get them soon.

I am using this rig as a gaming/HTPC right in my media room.

    FX-8350 with Crosshair V Formula-Z OC to 4.4ghz @ 1.425volts, RAM is slightly OC.
Rig is completely water cooled with a Swiftech MCR320-XP, Swiftech Apogee HD block, MCP355 pump in XSPC res and GPU (6950 with Koolance Block) in the same loop with the AMD 6950. Temps Maxed out a 40c under prime95 Full load stress test.
I also have the SSD Benchmarks with the ASMedia drivers, Scored well, not the best, but also did really good in ATTO SSd bench. Maxed out towards the end.
